An exceptional and truly unique omakase experience. With only three seats, the setting is incredibly intimate and thoughtfully curated, making the meal feel very special. The food was excellent, and the entire experience stood out from any other omakase I’ve had. Highly recommended.

This was such a cool and intimate experience. We went around Christmas time for my birthday and had an amazing experience. It was so intimate and our chef Koychi was fantastic and such a cool person. The fish was the freshest I have ever had and the flavor journey is unmatched. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Sushi Suite is a hidden gem in NYC. The omakase was unforgettable, each piece of sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. The intimate setting made it feel special, and the chef’s skill was top-tier. Worth every penny!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the omakase dining at Hotel 32/32 in room 1001, and here’s a comprehensive overview of the experience.

The 17-course meal was overall delicious, with the quality of the fish and toppings standing out. The care and craftsmanship in the preparation of the dishes were evident and truly highlighted the skill of the chef. However, the rice was slightly undercooked, which, unfortunately, detracted from the overall experience. For an omakase of this caliber, particularly in such an intimate setting, I expected a more consistently refined execution of every component.

The ambiance was excellent. The hotel room’s terrace is a hidden gem; it’s a lovely private rooftop bar that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. Arriving early to make use of the terrace before the meal is highly recommended, and it was also a wonderful spot to unwind afterward.

One notable aspect was the timing. The omakase was advertised as a 75-minute experience, but it ended up being under an hour. Given the price point, a dessert course or a drink would have been a fitting addition to round out the meal. With only four seats available and such a close interaction with the chef, the experience felt a bit rushed, and more attention to detail in timing and course inclusions would have enhanced it.

As an avid omakase goer, I find that the small details can significantly impact the experience. While there were many positives to the evening, I hope these insights can help refine future offerings. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable experience with room for improvement.

Sharing a meal in an intimate setting of four really makes this experience unique and special. The gimmick of it hidden in a hotel room in manhattan is only a small garnish. I really got to talk to the chef and the other two guests without the rumbling noise of other dinner guests. Each piece came at my pace. There no waiting for the chef to be done with someone else’s order. The true Japanese omakase experience. The chef was a master of his craft. He paired each piece with a different garnish that really brought out the flavor of the fish. I’ve had other omakase before and I can say there were combinations I’ve never had before. Truly a must try for sushi aficionados.

The multi course omakase in an intimate setting with my partner and no other customers was a wonderful exclusive event. The conversation with the chef and staff allowed for a truly relaxing, educational, and excellent experience created by the team. You feel like you were the center of attention and really was. The place to ourselves will be a moment to be cherished.

Having tried all the Bou locations in NYC and Sushi by Bae, I was eager to experience Sushi Suite. With only four seats, it offers an intimate, like dining at someone’s home , ideal for small groups or a romantic date night. It feelsThe seating time was short but didn’t feel rushed.

Our chef is from Tokyo, he is very talented and friendly. Over the course of our hour-long dining experience, we had a great conversations with him while watching him skillfully prepare each master piece.

The 17-course meal began with a snow crab appetizer. Unfortunately, it didn’t impress me; the pickle and seaweed flavors overwhelmed the crab’s natural sweetness. The meal then continued with 16 pieces of nigiri. While the fish was very fresh, the frequent use of yuzu toppings across several pieces felt somewhat uninspired. Overall, I enjoyed the fish but didn’t feel it matched the premium experience I had anticipated for the price.

I also want to address the timing issue. Despite multiple emails emphasizing punctuality and a strict 10-minute grace period, we were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time. We had taken a taxi to ensure we arrived on time, and if we had known about the delay, we could have saved ourselves the cost. If punctuality is a priority for the restaurant, I would expect the same consideration in return.

Additionally, when we received the bill, the waitress mentioned that my meal was comped, which was not the case. I had paid for my meal, and this misunderstanding made me feel uncomfortable, especially when hosting friends or on a date.

I really don’t want to let more people know about this place but RYAN IS *THE* SUSHI CHEF!!! Snag a reservation now & ask for Ryan if you want the best food & feel special!!! This place is now gonna be my go-to omakase for any special occasion and all special guests.

I went to Sushi Suite a month ago to celebrate my early birthday with my best friend, and fell in love with this spot. It’s intimate (we had an early reservation so it was just the two of us; felt like a private sushi suite), the fish was really fresh, the sushi rice was perfectly done, and most importantly the service was impeccable.

Ryan was so attentive and funny – he chatted with us throughout dinner, and said when he found out it was my birthday, he was going to bake a cake for me that morning. My jaw dropped cuz who still provides this level of service in 2023, in this economy? And since he ran out of time to bake me the cake , he made me a special birthday sushi bomb with ALL 5 of my favorite ingredients (which he picked up during our dinner conversation). He made us feel so so special, and made it a memorable celebration beyond the top notch sushi.

They can host private events too & I definitely plan to hire Ryan for my next special event.

I cannot emphasize enough how much of a journey and experience it was to dine at Sushi Suite 1001! We arrived a little early, and were greeted by the front desk at the ground floor. When our time came, we were given a key card that would open the suite door on the 10th floor. The door is hard to miss, it’s right in front of the elevator door!

When we came in, the previous party was on their way out, then we came in and took our seats. It was just my wife and I at the counter, and we had the undivided attention of the amazing chef.

I opted for the sake tasting while my wife declined, and I didn’t regret that aspect of the meal at all! The chef created each and every sushi piece with great care, and was an experience in of itself to see how everything was constructed.

The flavors? Oh my, I can’t begin to tell you how difficult it will be to go back to supermarket sushi after this! Each sushi piece had its own character and flavors, which paired so nicely with the ever increasing complex sakes that were given to me. Each bite felt so silky smooth and cannot understate the freshness of all that we had the pleasure of eating.

We were given TWO desserts as I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary that we were celebrating that evening, both very distinct and enjoyable. It was also the very first time I had sushi for dessert! (why isn’t this a thing??)

It unfortunately was raining heavily, so the balcony was closed but I was given an opportunity to peek outside and see what the setup looked like. I certainly want to come back on a nicer evening and enjoy a sake outside with good company, perhaps sometime in the future!

This elevated sushi dining experience is certainly unmatched, I highly recommend coming here if you can!
