It’s a small diner, friendly service, excellent food; one of those places that they know your name or call you honey and know how you take your coffee. You don’t find places like this anymore. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of downtown where you can sit and get a cup of coffee and hear the regulars solve all the problems of the world at 6 a.m. or come in at lunch and have one of the best hamburgers and homemade onion rings you’ve ever had and hope you’ve got room for some homemade pie with mile high meringue.

The atmosphere is interesting. Feels like a place I would have gone to with my grandma 25 years ago where it was already going out of style. Desperately needs an interior refresh and more menus (they bounced the same 2 menus between 4 tables while I was there and seemed like they didn’t have more).
An odd experience that I don’t plan to repeat but still something different.

Best Cheeseburgers and Onion rings. Blue plate specials. Opens 6:00am, Monday thru Friday. Must do this place in Palestine. If they have any left, try the pie. Unforgettable.

We eat at the Hamburger Bar every tim we are in Palestine. Food is delicious, inexpensive, and quickly brought to the table. The staff is so sweet, and locals are nice visiting. Very informal.
