Reviews
Although I did not meet the owner that evening, the general manager — originally from Naples and having lived many years in Milan and Florence — delivered such impeccable, attentive service that you would have thought he owned the restaurant himself.
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was extraordinary. We were greeted with glasses of sparkling wine, and the warmth of the staff set the tone for the entire evening. Once they discovered we were Italian, the connection felt even more genuine. Our servers — one Argentinian with Italian-Irish heritage named Brannon and a lovely Polish waitress — were gracious, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive.
The food was excellent overall. The Fried Calamari & Zucchini was cooked to absolute perfection — light, crisp, and not greasy — and even included zucchini flowers, which immediately reminded me of my mother. It is very rare to find them on an American menu, and that detail alone speaks to the restaurant’s authenticity.
After this memorable dish, it was presented on a platter with four separate bowls, allowing guests to enjoy the fritto alongside a fresh salad and marinara sauce. It was a thoughtful way to accommodate both Italian and American preferences without ever losing that refined attention to detail.
The Hamachi Murano, a hibachi-style fish, was another standout: exceptionally fresh, beautifully plated, and prepared the Italian way — with restraint and balance so the sauce enhanced the fish rather than overpowering it. Original, elegant, and memorable.
A helpful note: the menu shown on the website is not yet fully updated, so you will find many additional dishes when dining in person. I also tried the Venetian sole, which was beautifully executed and respectful of tradition.
The wine list is certainly sufficient, and the display features prestigious bottles such as Dal Forno and Sassicaia. However, if these were priced a bit more reasonably, the selection would feel far more accessible to guests. Currently, there are limited standout options by the glass, and most bottles begin around the $100 mark, leaving little room for those who may wish to enjoy a quality wine at a more moderate price point.
If I had one additional critique, it would be the lobster “alla catalana.” This is a dish I truly love — typically prepared in parts of Italy, especially Sardinia, as well as in Spain — so I was especially excited to try it. Unfortunately, the version served leaned more toward a dressed, Russian-style salad with a pronounced lemon note that felt slightly unbalanced. I found myself finishing the lobster but leaving most of the vegetables behind. The presentation was beautiful, but I would personally adjust the seasoning next time and would likely not reorder it in its current form.
That said, every great restaurant refines dishes over time, and everything else about Murano makes it a true standout. The atmosphere, authenticity, elegant décor, tables adorned with subtle touches of gold, and the beautiful Zafferano® glasses — combined with outstanding service and culinary ambition — signal that this place is here to stay.
Murano by Chef Igor Ferraro is a keeper — and I am already looking forward to returning to explore many more dishes.
The food was top of the top. The Tuna Tartare
with burrata and Truffles was incredibly fresh and delicious mix of flavors and the eggplant Parmesan with its delicious sauce perfect to share.the Tagliolini Cacio e Pepe prepared on cheese wheel al Tartufo with truffles was unforgettable rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Off course dessert!
The tiramisu made at our table by Nathalie with coffee poured over it, was the perfect ending fresh, creamy, and absolutely amazing.
From the atmosphere to the service and the cuisine, this restaurant deserves 5 stars without question. We will definitely be back. Thank you for having us.
Each dish carried with it a sense of dedication and perfectly balanced flavors, brought out one by one—without any rush, yet without long waits. The timing was flawless.
A special mention goes to Nathalie, our waitress, who made sure every detail was impeccable. Her attentiveness and professionalism elevated the entire experience.
Although the restaurant is still quite new, there were about five tables that evening, and I am certain every single guest left just as happy as we did.
I sincerely wish Murano by Ferraro all the success in the world. I’m attaching a few photos, and my personal recommendation: ask to sit with Nathalie if you can—she makes the experience even more memorable.
Ernesto The manager was on top of us assuring an excellent service.
Our server was kind but her descriptions of the food led us away from our original choices, and the dishes we ordered based on her recommendations were not enjoyable.
Something as simple as a dirty martini arrived without vermouth or proper olive juice, and the restaurant had to remake it 3 times and borrow vermouth from next door.
We both ended up with acid reflux and upset stomachs that evening and our stomachs were not feeling well for days after.
If this restaurant wants to survive, I strongly recommend focusing more on quality, flavor, freshness and accuracy to match the presentation and menu descriptions.
I loved the cacio e pepe, which was perfectly al dente, and my husband couldn’t stop raving about the lobster pasta. Everything was beyond delicious. We can’t wait to go back and definitely recommend locals give it a try. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in the area!
Polpo alla Luciana with Polenta.
For the main course, we ordered a classic Linguine alle Vongole, with pasta cooked to a flawless al dente bite. And Cacio e Pepe al Tartufo.
The flavors were exquisitely balanced and the presentation was superb—an absolute must try for any food lover visiting Murano. The entire dining experience was a testament to the kitchen’s mastery and the use of impeccably fresh ingredients.
The service at Murano is in a class of its own. Our server, Marquis, provided truly exceptional and attentive care that made us feel like VIPs. The dining experience was further elevated by James, the master bartender who crafted cocktails that were simply divine.
Every detail at Murano is a visual treat. The chic decor and elegant, Italian-made chandeliers and decorations create a stunning ambiance that is truly Instagram-worthy. The beautiful Zafferano handmade Italian dinnerware and tableware are perfect.
Murano is a must for any foodie. We adored every single dish, from the fantastic selection on the menu to the unique and unforgettable flavors. We were blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the passion from the kitchen. Special thanks to Chef Igor, Chef Nicola, and Giorgio for an incredible experience. We can’t wait to come back!
