Reviews
This place instantly became number one on my list of the best Japanese food options in the area, delivering on both quality and atmosphere.
The sushi itself is phenomenal, fresh, expertly rolled, and clearly made with premium fish. Their specialty rolls are creative and vibrant, making every plate a feast for the eyes and the palate.
But, you can’t start your meal here without ordering the Crab Puffs. They are absolutely amazing! Forget everything you thought you knew about this classic appetizer. Sake Bon delivers a perfect, crispy wrapper filled with a generous, creamy, and flavorful blend of real crab and cheese. They’re golden, piping hot, and seriously addictive.
Go for the all you can eat sushi, but stay for those legendary crab puffs. Sake Bon is a must-try! So delicious!!
Atmosphere: Open space. Seating is nice.
️ Service: Service can be a bit slow, I tend to order multiple things at once so they can come out back to back. Instead of waiting for it to come but understandable if everyone is ordering like we do for the AYCE.
Price: Price is fair. About $36 for AYCE. They will charge you at cost if you order something but do not finish majority of it.
Drinks: Only tried the Sake here. Can’t go wrong with that.
The portions you receive is definitely worth the price ! Drinks are also really well balanced and service was great
Appetizers:
Squid salad, edamame (very fresh), butterfly shrimp, and mussels were absolutely delicious and very fresh.
Tempura shrimp was the worst I have ever tried and tasted like a stall bread. The restaurant needs to change the supplier for that item.
Fried squid was fried with literal plastic like wrap under the breading which could be another supplier issue and we let the server and manager know. The manager tried to play a not so smart game saying it is squid skin. It wasn’t it was plastic.
The sashimi:
All sashimi items were tasty but kinda warm.
Seared salmon and seared yellow tail were very tasty.
Sushi Rolls:
All sushi rolls were mediocre, full of rice, low on meat, and about 8 to 10 pieces to fill you up.
Service:
The service was good but the server asked if I would like the check mid dinning without my ask which I view as “get out of here move”. And no, I wasn’t over eating.
Overall, it is a very average place food wise and is too expensive for the quality it serves. This is $25 place at best. Not worth $75 for two people.
