I walked into the store and ordered an Italian hoagie and it only took 10 minutes, which I think is fast because they toasted the bread too. My hoagie was 7.5 inch and was surprisingly so filling with each bite; it was delicious! I don’t consider myself as a “light eater” and was shocked that I only ate half for lunch and then saved the half for dinner! I would recommend Jimmy Z’s for anyone looking for a satisfying Italian hoagie!

Soggy pizza, only way it was edible was to throw it under broiler to cook it through. I picked it up as they where boxing it up and I literally live behind the place, so it didn’t have time to steam or soften in the box. It was almost like it was made yesterday and then they just threw some toppings on it and popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds. No way it could have come out of the oven like that. I’ve had pizza that serves cold toppings and cheese but this isn’t that. People here where nice and the order was made quick, but I can’t recommend the pizza. 12 cuts with 2 toppings for over $30 (with tip) and it was undercooked, not worth it at all. Hard pass on this place until the recipe is adjusted. This is a picture after I had to cook the pizza through. 2 stars for the employees and the convenience. Fix the pizza and I’ll be back.

1st off, Great food. Love the steak hoagie and I have no problems in that regard. I called in to ask if they have delivery drivers… they do not. They use grubhub, door dash, etc. I try to stay away from this, but I wanted to order. I used their recommended delivery service (grubhub) and filled in the “special instructions” section for the delivery to walk to my back yard at the firepit to deliver. I paid 50% of the items price to have it delivered to my back yard fire pit… pretty nice, right? Just to walk to my back yard. The driver, Ali, texted me to provide a two digit code for him to complete the delivery. I responded and then nothing. 20min later I walked to my front door and found my order placed on my glider. I guess a great tip gets you nowhere. I called the driver, the number from the text, he hung up. I called again and he said he didn’t see the instructions and thanked me for the tip. Screw this!!! I won’t order from ANY company that outsources their deliveries! It’s just not worth it.

The one star I am giving is entirely for friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the shop. Both on the phone and while picking up.
We ordered an 18 slice with pepperoni and half italian hoagie. Price was $37.00.
And I honestly have to say this was THE WORST PIZZA I have ever eaten. It was cold. Not warm. Not cooked and then became cold. It was cold/cold. The cheese was not melted, the pepperoni was also cold. The crust was tasteless and ?? possibly precooked unevenly without the toppings on it. I peeled back the cheese and the top of the crust was crispy and brown as if the top of the crust was actually the bottom of the crust. Then some of the squares in the box were doughy. Sauce tasted okay but was skimpy in some areas. All the way around Awful.

Saw that this place had 4.4 stars on Google so decided to try it. I got a 6-cut cheese and 6-cut pepperoni pizza. First thought, it didn’t look very appetizing. The cheese looked like the fake cheese that doesn’t truly melt. My husband’s first reaction after tasting it: “this tastes like pizza you’d get for a school lunch…cafeteria pizza”. Very accurate description. Crust was stale and tasted as if the flour wasn’t cooked out of it.

This place is amazing. Not sure who runs it but the guy that was in there made me feel like I was at a BBQ at his house, and they are doing an excellent job. GET THE MEATBALL HOAGIE ITS AMAZING. I’ve never seen anything like it. They have a decent lunch special to. Thanks for coming to Castle Shannon

Anybody that would give this a high rating is either desperate or just hasn’t had good American food before. I specifically ordered pepperoni on my slices, and apparently that wasn’t meant to be cuz they didn’t add it on. The pizza wasn’t bad. It’s basically Beto’s. (Another overrated pizza place).
The half Italian hoagie was okay I guess.
The whole meatball was just not that good.
The cheese sticks with marinara sauce were just not that good. The marinara sauce was watery. The cheese sticks were bland.
Overall this place was very bland. I wouldn’t get it again.
Maybe I will try the one in Houston.

Not my fave. Nothing exactly “wrong” with it, just REALLY not my style. I’d say it was priced fairly, but I’d like to take the crust, or the sauce, and go a different direction to make some sort of appetizer out of it.
Wafery almost cracker like crust, choppy tomato sauce (almost like pureed salsa in texture), and very stretchy cheese (some added before, some after baking).
The crust was not thick enough or bready enough for me. The sauce was unusual taste and texture for me. The cheese was the kind you’ll stretch forever if your front upper/bottom teeth dont match up.
I got 2 slices.

I like the thinner crust, sauce was decent, but man, they sure skimp on the cheese. Fortunately I ordered 1 serving of extra cheese on the side so I was able to use it on the 4 slices. You also can only get 1 topping per slice which I find very odd. Be nice to get extra cheese with a topping. I will try again because I might get a different person making the pizza and hopefully they use a little more cheese.
