Reviews
The interior is beautiful and cozy!
I had the Coconut Soup as well as the See Ew and my dad had the Fruity Shrimp Salad! We also got some of their Thai Iced Tea. We will be back in a heart beat!
High hopes. I was waiting for the opportunity to review this, but it’s another case where I will be brutally honest while feeling mildly sheepish for being harsh.
This place won’t be in business a year from now.
The ambiance is tacky. It was not only uncomfortable, but the jazz music was annoying.
We ordered tea thinking it would be a small pot like you’d get at a typical Asian restaurant. Well for $4, you got to pick what commercial tea BAG you wanted. No thanks.
There was NOTHING we liked on the menu. No Spring rolls. No summer rolls. No red curry chicken. They only had ultra-expensive “specialty” curries that were exotic in presentation but lacking in taste.
We ordered the mussels. The portion size to cost ratio was tiny. They weren’t especially particularly good for $14, and were the style you’d get at an all-you-can-eat buffet like at the Mills Mall (TJ’s Buffet). The dipping sauce was good, however.
The chicken satay was tasty. I’ll give them that. Yum.
The Massaman curry was outrageously expensive, and lacked volume, vegetables, protein and taste. It came with goat meat, but was not filling. Nothing like I was used to. It was also very sugary sweet. The pumpkin curry was so salty it was almost inedible. Portion size was small.
All meals came with a deep-fried dipping bread that was pure oil/grease. Naan would have been better.
The staff was sweet. We appreciated their kindness and attentiveness. However, they acted like we never had Thai food before and were coaching us on how to eat it. (We are Thai food connoisseurs).
Maybe the lunch menu has more to offer. I’m going to pay for value, portion size, quality; not for silly gimmicks.
Anxious to know what restaurant will be here in 2024. This felt scammy.
And the spring rolls $9 for dinner same portion as lunch
What a shame
Loved the Thi place that was originally there and prices way better
Will not be ordering here
