37 Eats in Toms River absolutely blindsided me—in the best possible way. You walk in expecting “another local joint,” and instead it feels like someone took a diner, a bistro, and a food scientist, locked them in a room, and said “figure it out.” The menu hits that sweet spot where you can order anything and not feel like you’re gambling with your stomach. Flavors are bold without being obnoxious, portions are generous without being cartoonish, and every dish tastes like the chef personally tasted it, nodded, and said, “Yeah, that’ll impress the locals.” It’s the kind of place where halfway through your meal you’re already planning the next one—dangerous, but in a fun “I earned this” way.
Service? Fast, friendly, and actually paying attention instead of doing the fake “everything OK?” drive-by. The vibe is relaxed but not sloppy, and the room somehow avoids that echo-chamber chaos you get at other busy spots in town. They clearly care about getting the details right—seasoning, presentation, even the temperature of the plates. You leave feeling like you got your money’s worth and then some. Bottom line: 37 Eats is the kind of place Toms River should brag about. If the rest of the food scene had this level of confidence and execution, we’d need a waiting list to get into the entire town.
I only complained was the flatbread which wasn’t made with marinara sauce, so that’s a particular thing to me specifically, I just thought it was somewhat tasteless. But the calamari was definitely above average.

I stopped in for lunch and was just going to have a salad. But they had some specials and one of them was butter beans with some sauces. I asked the waitress about it and she said it was pretty good. It was great! I also got a bowl of potato leek soup. In the picture you can see the focaccia, it looks small in the picture but it was the size of my face and it was really good. So much food. I made dinner out of the leftovers.

My wife and I had dinner here last night 2/11/2026. Service was fantastic and attentive warm and friendly. We loved the ambiance of a local restaurant/bar however the food elevated the whole experience. Buffalo wings were crispy and sauced perfectly. The steak bites delicious and the Mahgarita Pizza was amazing as well as the Zeppoles and Crème Brûlée for dessert. We will be back to try more

It was our first time coming here and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere inside was so warm and inviting, a major contrast to the steel exterior look of the building. There’s a nice size bar and high tops as well as low tables and booths to sit at. All the food was excellent here and came out quickly. We ordered the wood-fire grilled wings, Balboa 2.0 and white pizza and chicory salad. The pizzas were cooked well done like we asked and all the food tasted great. The price of our drinks and food were reasonable and we will definitely be back in the future.

37 Eats is a great little place. We stumbled upon and decided to give it a try. Darian, our server was absolutely fantastic. We had a soft bavarian pretzel and a buffalo pizza. It was so good. I went back a day later and got a couple pretzels to go. If you haven’t tried 37 Ears give it a try it’s worth it.

Don’t like leaving reviews but I was really excited to try this place out. We got the chips and dip to start which tasted fine, but we didn’t taste any of the caramelized onion in the dip. The steak bites were decent with the sauce, but they tasted like they were microwaved. I got the Mac burger pizza, which tasted pretty good on the cauliflower dough, but it’s more of a really thin gluten-free flatbread. We were really excited to try the general tso fried chicken sandwich. Long story short it Tasted like it was leftover, not crispy, and really dark meat like stuff that shouldn’t be sold. Anyways, the waitress was nice to take it off our bill and we had no problem with the service, she was very nice and attentive. Sorry but hopefully we can try again in the future

I was excited to try this place. Honestly was expecting more. Drinks were good. Food was not as good as I thought it would be. Bar is nice. Bartenders are nice and make great drinks. I didnt take photos of everything we got. Cheesy bread was not something id get again. Said it was a garlic bread with cheese. It’s more of a pizza. No garlic flavor at all. Definitely would not reccomend it. Steak bites had zero flavor, my boyfriend ordered them medium. They came rare(which i dont mind but he wont eat). The KFC wings were ok- but I expected them to be spicier(especially because I’ve been to Korea and know what they should taste like- this wasnt it) but they were still good.
The only thing i didnt like about my drink is they use regular table salt instead of rock salt. I wiped all the salt off the rim. And there was a lot of salt in the bottom of the drink.
Only reason I MIGHT go back is to try the happy hour specials. I know they opened fairly recently- so they may still be trying to figure things out.

I picked up today and got the chicken parm and white pizza, but the atmosphere was really cozy inside, they have holiday decor too if you want to see some of that, and front desk reception was welcoming 🙂 great first time

It took me so long to get here because I was never a big fan of the spot, but this was awesome. Jillian was such an amazing server super helpful and attentive! We split a bottle of Rose which was delish. Got the buffalo wings extra crispy and the pizza was so good. We will def be back and will be requesting Jillian!! Reasonably priced too.
