Plus I was told they won’t remake because to them they did it “right”. Come on down better.
**Update**
Against my better judgment I went back to this taco bell and once again was very disappointed. I ordered a crispy chicken taco and what I received was not what was pictured on the drive thru menu (see photos). When the cashier handed me my bag it felt way too light for what I ordered so I opened the bag and it is indeed not what I had ordered and I told her that and she had the audacity to argue with me that it’s the only taco they have… Is that so?! Then why is the taco pictured on the menu full of different ingredients and the only thing that is on my taco is chicken, cheese and sauce? No to mention I said a soft shell with crispy chicken and the shell was hard. The incompetence at this store amazes me.
Long story: I went through the drive-thru on a Thursday afternoon about 4: 20pm. There were no other vehicles in front of me. I ordered the combo #3 which was for a burrito supreme, a crunchy taco supreme and a pop. The service was pretty quick and more or less friendly.
She handed me my bag of food and said thanks for your order and because my mind was on getting home, I didn’t realize she hadn’t given me my pop. It wasn’t until I was halfway home and I went to take a sip I realized I didn’t have my pop. I went back to the restaurant with only one vehicle in front of me. When she asked me for my order I told her I had just been there and that I had not received my pop and because I had turned around and came back, my food was now lukewarm. She said she would have her manager talk to me at the window. Hmmm. Instead of simply saying, “I’m sorry we forgot to give that to you, please come to the window and we will give you your pop”, her manager was going to talk to me, which by the way, no manager spoke to me.
When I got to the window I again indicated that I had just been there, showed her the bag, told her the food was now lukewarm and told her that I hadn’t received the pop that came with the combo. Honestly, it was like I got a blank stare. Then she just grabbed a cup, put some ice in it and then put in the root beer and handed it to me.
It would have been nice if they had replaced the burrito and the taco so that they would have been warm, but they didn’t.
As far as the taste of the food, it was horrible. This is the worst burrito supreme I have ever gotten from Taco Bell. It was supposed to have sour cream on it but I didn’t see any; there was sour cream on the taco supreme. By the time I got home, the food was cold. I took a couple bites of each and then threw it away because it just tasted nasty.
I usually love Taco Bell and was so thrilled to see that we were having a Taco Bell back in Cheboygan. But it’ll be a long time before I go back to this one. I wouldn’t recommend the food and I don’t think the service was the best either.
Just want to mention in case these restaurants are owned by the same person or company, about 3 weeks ago I had stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken (located in same bldg as TB) and had gotten a combo meal. I didn’t realize until I got home that they had not given me my pop that came with the combo meal. It wasn’t worth the trip back to get it but I have to wonder if this is a tactic to save money. How many people have been short-changed on their pop and they don’t realize it until it’s too late and they just say forget it?
Skip Taco Bell and go hit one of the other local restaurants.
