This place is fantastic! We went out of our way to find it based on all the reviews! It was totally worth it. Jesse and his mom are kind, talented chefs! The food was amazing and fresh. Seating is only outside but they have 3 picnic tables and 2 huge trees providing shade. Parking is in a lot right next to the building. We had flautas and tamales. The sauce was delicious. The flan was to die for. The rice was moist and remarkable!

Stopped for lunch for the first time and it definitely won’t be the last. Best Mexican food I’ve eaten since living in Arizona. Truly authentic. We tried the burrito grande with carne asada and the flautas with street taco meat. We also had a wide selection of Mexican salsa and cheese included. Homemade & delicious

AMAZING….ALWAYS AMAZING. MOM AND SON WORK SIDE BY SIDE DAILY. FOOD IS ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH. PLEASE STOP BY AND SUPPORT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. ORDERING PROCESS IS VERY SIMPLE. PHOTOS OF DISHES ARE ON THE WALL. MENU ON OUTSIDE DOOR UPON ENTERING. There are no inside seating, however there is a bench out side.

This place is truly incredible, and I might just reroute through Kentucky to experience it again! The 5-star ratings piqued my curiosity, and I’m thrilled that they not only met but exceeded expectations. When you walk into La Piñata, you’re hit with a wave of deliciousness Jessie, one of the owners, provided exceptional service, treating me with respect, kindness, and a genuine interest in recommending the right things. The food was beyond phenomenal! And the prices so reasonable. Jessie even brought out a variety of sauces for me to try, making my lunch truly delightful. It’s surprising to find such delicious tacos in a small Kentucky town. I can’t praise this place enough—looking forward to returning for dessert!

We stumbled upon this place via Google, trying to find somewhere in Eddyville to eat lunch that was local.
The young man that waited on us was so friendly and helpful in picking menu items.
I got the Tinga tacos, which were so incredibly flavorful. The tortillas were homemade and delicious.
My husband got the Carne asada burrito which was HUGE and crammed full, it definitely wasn’t lacking flavor or meat, rice, or beans!
We also got 2 tamales to try, one cheese tamale and then per the young man’s recommendation the Roja, which was his mom’s favorite.
We definitely enjoyed eating here! We also appreciated they brought out a sampling of all their sauces! The avocado salsa was my favorite!

The flautas with chicken tinga were delicious! I scarfed the first one down before I could even take a picture. Well worth the 2 mile venture from the interstate to enjoy. Friendly service, low prices, and lots of plastic/styrofoam, exactly what you expect from rural Kentucky.
