This places comes by my apartments once a week and I decided that yesterday was a good time to try. I called the number and they were very nice. Very helpful when it came to ordering and made it easy. Upon arrival there was a line of people waiting but good thing I ordered early because my order was already ready. It was only one people working trying to get the food out.

The food was good. There was a few issues. The garlic fried rice was hard as if the rice was old. As if it was reheated or recooked but it was definitely old. It was good no doubt but I could not get over the texture that you get from old rice that has been out for a while and gotten hard. The ramen noodles lacked in flavor a bit. And some were so burnt they were black and hard. The salmon for some reason was spicy. I don’t know why or what was put on the fish, but it was too spicy for my husband and I to eat so we ended up eating around it. My husband said maybe they put chilli oil on it because it didn’t have much flavor but was just spicy. As for the chicken. The chicken was the best chicken I have had. It was juicy and delicious. Tender and the best part of the meal. They definitely know how to cook chicken very well. Everything else needed work. I would have complained and gotten my money back for the fish and rice but the apartments did give us a $10.00 off so I didn’t want to fuss but I still spent $40.00 on food that I couldn’t tear at the end of the day. Also it’s very oily. I would say lighten up on the oil, add more flavor to the noodles and please unless you specify that something is spicy please do not make your fish spicy.

I look for these guys every First Friday in Abbot Kinney, coz they create a food experience tailored to how you enjoy food, and it hits the spot every time. Jo and the chefs are kind and enthusiastic, and care about creating a dish you will enjoy. In all of my experiences, Jo has helped customize my order, recommending the best topping and sauce combinations.

I’m usually afraid to order shrimp dishes in fast paced food spots as it is too often overcooked and rubbery. Hibachis has been juicy and tender consistently.

I cannot recommend them enough!!! 5 star!!!

Got the full size plate and it’s definitely worth it! Customer service was amazing and welcoming! The mango lemonade was a perfect sweet treat. Loved their food, definitely worth the price.

This was the second time I had eaten at this food truck. I ordered a full portion of the steak and chicken with garlic fried rice. The food is delicious and they give generous portions of food. It could easily have fed two people and I even had enough left over for dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of options and is priced fairly. The food truck also clearly shows their pricing and provides plenty of pictures to give you an idea of what their food looks like. The staff is also very friendly and they got my food to me in not much time at all. I’d highly recommend this food truck to anyone craving Japanese Hibachi.

The biggest scam, the steak shrimp was horrible. The meat was extremely tough, it looked like they cut brisket into pieces as steak and charged over $30! Avoid this place or don’t get the steak. The fried was alright, a bit salty.

Food was super delicious and staff is always super friendly! I like that they ask how you want your steak to be cooked with the noodles. I have this every time I go to the Melrose Trading Post.

Worst food truck experience ever. Two blokes on a non busy weekday evening, in an old, dirty and messy food truck, we’re unable to deliver French fries under 20min to hungry kids. They even made jokes at clients and reused food and containers. Don’t hire them, order from them or allow them to take part in your event, that would be a mistake. Those guys are not to be trusted. Shame on you for giving Hospo a bad name, you should do smth else. Now!
