Shout out to Yummo Bucko! A party of 4 we all spent close to $100, please know a 15% gratutity is added to each person no matter the size of group. This place will fill up fast (small and quaint), opens at noon on Sunday. I checked online to see if reservations could be set up and didnt see where that was an option, upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation. Even though we didnt we were told to select wherever we wanted to sit.

Food ordered: Sampler – grits where stiff and saudage links appeared and tasted as if straight out of (brown & serve box)

Fried shrimp – seasoned well and fried perfect

Eggs Benedict (2x) – one with fried, one scrambled it comes with two crab cakes and 2 lamb chops (lamb chops were supposed to be grilled medium well. Lamb chops was a new born baby lamb chop and so tough to bite)

Side order of original French Toast – ( one piece of bread cut in half $6.00)

Lamb chop brunch meal – comes with 3 lamb chops, smothered in brown gravy (I missed that part on the menu, I just wanted med well grilled lamb chops which came out the same as above. The menu stated mashed potates came with; however received cheesy grits with lobster meat. NO on the grits and the lobster was OK).

Lemon Pepper wings to go – brought order out and gave to the wrong person with no bag, just plopped down and walked away.

4 Mimosas which was ok.

Will we try this place again??? – Possibly on another day, just not BRUNCH.

We came in right after opening on Taco Tuesday! We were greeted by Nick. He is amazing. Nick was positive and upbeat. He acted as our Host, Server, and Bar Tender. He deserves a raise. Our food was fresh and delicious. As was our drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant was appealing. The only reason why I didn’t leave 5 stars is bc of the restroom. Being as though we came right at opening. The restroom was disgusting. I can only assume that I wasn’t cleaned the night before. However it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned before ever! So there’s that.

Business wasn’t ready for the crowd. Came to visit cause of creativity on Facebook review yummo bucko. I WILL NEVER RETURN. My family came in from Washington DC and they wasn’t happy food, service, communication from the kitchen to waitress. Always need to be prepared for anything.

Sipped water from a plastic cup and waited 55 minutes for a mimosa flight and our entrees. We were one of 2 tables and arrived when they opened so they weren’t busy. They were out of a couple of things I ordered initially. No sorbet for sorbet mimosas and they were waiting on champagne delivery. On a positive note the food was very good and the 90s playlist was awesome.

The atmosphere here is welcoming and has a nice vibe in it. We were served by Aryn at the bar and she provided exceptional customer service! I asked her to make me a Jim Bean drink and she did very well with my drink. We even ordered food and it came out very quick. We ordered empanadas and Caribbean Spring Rolls. Everything was good. I would definitely come back!

I normally don’t do A lot of reviews but I had to write this one. Went here yesterday for brunch with 7 of my friends and we had to sit at the bar because they were “booked”. We sat down at 12:15pm after they finally opened NOT on time. I should have known then it’s was a sign to leave but we stayed. Sat down at the bar, took forever to take our order, and once we placed our food order it took 35 mins to get our drinks. That was after the bartender told us we had to wait to get Mimosas because the manager had the champagne locked up and she hasn’t showed up to work yet with the key. Then after we got our drinks we were finally able to place our food order around 1:15pm. The food came out another 45mins later and all of the food was luke warm! I was the last one to get my food after everyone else was already done eating ! Got the lamb and lobster cheesy grits.. NO LOBSTER was in my grits, so he asked the kitchen to make me some more… he came out 2 mins later with some stiff grits my lobster pieces dropped on top! I just SMH and was just disgusted at this point! I DO NoT recommend this place for brunch! Food was tasteless and service was horrible! Do better Republic! I be trying to support black businesses but most make it so hard!

I should have looked at the reviews before coming here but I was hungry and thought I would give it a try. I ordered the Republic Sampler and was very disappointed and it was a waste of money. The sausage tasted like it was premade and warmed up. Eggs were scrambled too hard and over cooked. Their home fries were under cooked and not seasoned. And to top it off, the waffles and French toast were soggy. I’m not sure who was in the kitchen on today, August 24th, but I was extremely disappointed. Maybe they are just having a bad day or they are more known for their drinks. Won’t be coming back!

I really really loved this place when it first opened. I brought a few friends on a Sunday who all loved their food. The staff treated us to a house shot because we had great energy, and I really loved the idea of brunch running 12pm-10pm. But over the past 3 years, I have seen this place go all the way downhill. From store hours being posted and staff staring at me– as I’m locked out- when I show up during those hours to over an hour-long wait times for Sunday brunch with just a few tables full. The service is horrid. The staff are friendly but the whole place seems like it’s in need of an owner who shows up more to make sure service runs smooth. The only reason I haven’t rated it a 1 at this point is because their Sunday brunch is the BEST food in town. But on any other day of the week, the food can taste as bad as plastic…

I went to republic tonight before 10pm, to relax and it’s only place I could think of with really good lamb chops! The atmosphere was chill with nice R&B music for dinner. I felt very comfortable. The bartender Cee was so nice and made me feel comfortable as I haven’t been out in awhile. The owners are amazingly kind! And crowd was good and very mature.
