Love this restaurant! Quality home cooked meal that is extremely well priced. The buttermilk pancakes melt in your mouth and are definitely a favorite!

I was very disappointed with this place. The foul language from the older lady who worked in the kitchen was really terrible. I was just glad I had no children with me. That alone is enough that I will not be back. Totally unacceptable. The food was very over priced for the little bit we received. It was not even that good. Nope, will not be back. The decor was nice and was the only good thing about the place.

Amazing food, the pancakes are huge fluffy and full of chocolate chips (if you want)! Food overall is incredible, the omelets are to die for! Open very early (around 5 am most days) till around 1 pm. We went around 8:30 am and there was no wait. Quaint little hole in the wall in spring valley Minnesota. I’d put it over literally any breakfast chain. Very cheap as well. 3 people got full for $31. In 2025??? Amazing. Next time I come y’all better still be open because I’m coming there again!

Great little small town place for breakfast. Busy place the waitress earned her tips on this day. She was very friendly even when you could tall she was working hard accommodate everyone. The food was homemade, hot and everything was very good. Will go back again and again when in able.

Bring your appetite and CASH – no credit/debit cards &/or NON-local checks taken – for some delicious food in a down home “homey” environment in this little Spring Valley MN eatery with the same name in the window❣
Just off Highway 63 & in the “downtown business district”, this spot offers great, “home cooked”, large portions (ONE pancake is 10″round!!), & real, old fashioned, customer service, all at friendly prices.
The place looks more like a home kitchen than a place of business, and a closer look at “pictures” on the wall reveal most are well made jigsaw puzzles. If you have the time, patience, and interest, you can even work on their current puzzle while waiting for your food❣
The staff is super kind & friendly, and will frequently check on you. This place is definitely worth the detour!
But plan to come early, because they close at 1:00, & noon on Sundays! Hey, THEY deserve a life, too! Lol!

Stopped in on a whim from out of town. Had some time between volleyball games in Grand Meadow. Google didn’t disappoint! Breakfast was amazing! Omelet was packed to the gills and the hashbrowns were spot on, not too crispy, not too mushy. Server was amazing, personable, and polite. Seems like the “regulars” like her as well. The light hearted banter with them as they left was pleasing to the ears. She was alone on a Sunday and she absolutley ROCKED it! THIS is how small diners make it. Big Bob’s is an absolute gem! Definately worth the drive and will ABSOLUTELY be back.
