Sad compared to how it used to be. Came in on Saturday afternoon. First time in years here. Only one person, so not blaming her, but it’s beyond painfully slow. The worker was very friendly.

Where is the owner?

The freezer that once held ice cream cookie sandwiches and cakes is barren; none of the soft-serve machines were on, and they were out of many flavors. It just feels like this place is about to get shut down.

Sad, since there is so much potential here for a quality ice cream shop that actually makes its own. I’d rather have 5 high-quality homemade ice creams.

Quality is middling to low. I go once in a while, but it’s not the same. This place was known to stay open late during the summer holidays because of the number of high school and college kids coming back to visit their families. That has stopped some time ago as the ownership focus is more on making as much cash as they can. It’s a business and that makes sense. However, their staff often times closes up Early and ignores customers standing right outside well before closing time—this has happened several times, not sure what’s going on.

The flavors are definitely not as good as they used to be. If anything signals “interminable decline” for our beloved region, it might be how this once charming small town ice cream shop has become an outpost of “the business is always right, and never the customer.”

Went back twice after this experience. Staff seemed miserable, flavors tasted terrible, and other customers seemed far more disappointed than I was.

Go to Potomac Grover instead.

Sprinkles is not what it used to be.
I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and ownership changed a few years ago. Since then the quality and taste of the frozen yogurt flavors have gone down hill. Quite honestly, they do not taste the same and half the time they are out of stock!! It boggles my mind how many times I’ve gone in and they say they do not have the Oreo frozen yogurt.
On top of this, I used to get the fronana all the time. It was my favorite dessert. But when the ownership changed, they pushed back on making it for me when I asked and each time I’ve ordered it since, it’s never the same. It doesn’t taste as good, neither does it look as appetizing.

The staff is less friendly and seems much more disinterested now. And they completely redid the store and filled it with art and decorations for purchase. No more seating area inside either.

I still go here out of nostalgia and so many happy memories, but while I used to go 2-3 times a week, I now go maybe 1-2 a year.

Sad to see one of the best og ice cream shops in Potomac go downhill. The original owners were amazing!!

If you are around Potomac River for hiking, visiting family and friends or just in the Potomac area. You have to checkout this dessert shop. I been going to this place since when I was in High School with my friends. It was always our Friday night or after school hangout spot. The ice cream down here is always been amazing!!! You have many excellent flavors to choose from. The shop recently just remodel. It looks amazing but still have a lot of the old memories to me and my friends. Staffs here are always very friendly and have sense of humor. It always feel like a second home for everyone in the community.

I bought an ice cream cake here and it was absolutely fantastic. It was my birthday and I’m glad Sprinkles had what I needed. The cake with added decorations was kind of expensive but totally worth it. Thank you so much for the honest communication and service.

Cute small ice cream shop with limited flavors. The ice cream tastes good creamy. Cotton candy flavor was way too sweet for us but the rest were good.

I used to pass by this place when I lived in Potomac but never had the chance to visit. We happened to be in the area and stopped by for some soft serve. My wife has celiacs disease and the ladies were kind to check and confirm which flavors were actually gluten free, which I appreciated. She even changed her gloves to be on the safe side, which was great! Both had masks on, which was a plus. The froyo was great and we definitely all enjoyed it! If ever we’re in the area again, we will definitely stop by again! Thank you!

Just ok.

Service: young guy working the counter was nice and attentive

Ice cream: I tried the homemade chocolate peanut butter. My wife tried the smores. Both were very very light in flavor. They also serve hersheys

I received a pecan pie from Sprinkles as a holiday gift and typically wouldn’t leave a review on something that was gifted, but holy moly that pecan pie was literally the best pecan pie I’ve ever had in my entire life. This is one of the few pecan pies that actually includes pecans as the majority of the pie and not just some sugary base! I shared the pie with others, but I honestly could’ve eaten the entire thing by itself!
