Oh G Burger was born from a passion for great food, Korean flavors, and community-driven dining. Created in collaboration with the team behind Ohgane Korean BBQ, the concept was inspired by the desire to blend Korean culinary heritage with the beloved American smash burger. The name, a nod to Ohgane and Mrs. Oh, reflects the brand’s roots in the Bay Area’s rich Korean food scene. The idea came to life in Oakland Hills, where the first location was carefully designed to be more than just a burger spot—it’s a hip, low-key hangout with a brilliant mix of flavors and culture. Featuring house-ground short rib patties, locally sourced ingredients, and Korean-inspired twists like the Bulgogi Burger and Kimchi Grilled Cheese, Oh G Burger quickly ga

The staff here are incredible—so welcoming and accommodating! This is the perfect spot for a familiar introduction to Korean flavors.

The Bulgogi Burger is good; the sweet sauce and extra lettuce do a great job of mimicking the K-BBQ experience. For the Hayward Burger, definitely add a patty to complement the unique tuna-filled jalapeño poppers! Their Popcorn Chicken has a perfect ‘soft crunch’ (the OMFG Cajun-Korean seasoning is a must), and their loaded fries are easily better than In-N-Out’s. They also have a VERY unique and fun canned drinks. Highly recommend!

I fear I may never eat another type of burger again!!! The woman who helped us order was so sweet Bf and I got shrimp toast, a bulgogi burger and double short rib smash burger. Bulgogi is already my favorite food all on its own, so to have it in burger form was mind blowing!! Smash burger was so flavorful& the Shrimp toast is perfectly fried and savory can’t wait for our next visit and can’t recommend enough!!

Oh G Burger is a cozy place tucked on A Street in Hayward. With a wide seating area and bright, red, white and blue walls, it brings a more retro atmosphere, helped by the selection of 80’s, 90’s and 00’s music. Aesthetically, it’s somewhere between an old-school diner and a cafeteria, and I greatly appreciate that.

During my visit, the owner made sure to meet my needs in a timely and respectful manner. Ice for my drink was available on request, as well as water (and water cups). I noted that the owner was also very close with his regulars, but also willing to give a customer space if he felt that they wanted to be alone. It seems that management is in good hands.

On this first visit, I ordered the Hayward Burger combo. To be honest, I didn’t take a closer look at the menu and just picked on the spot – almost none of the ingredients in the burger itself were anything I would have normally had. Based on its individual ingredients, I should have hated what I ordered… but I didn’t! The combination of flavors made what would have been an unpleasant experience in lesser hands, a pleasantly surprising one. Even if I don’t know whether or not I will order another Hayward Burger, it’s certainly changed my opinion on bell peppers for the future. For that, I have to give a 5 star rating for the food – at any other place, I think I would have hated it.

I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

Came with a couple friends and split the double smashed burger and the bulgogi burger along with the loaded fries and the K-Popcorn chicken with the bulgogi and OMFG sauces.

The double smash is the way to go. The bulgogi burger just missed the mark for us along with the bulgogi sauce on the burger. The loaded fries were alright but would probably opt for just the plain fries or onion rings next time. The OMFG run was supposed to be pretty spicy but we thought it was good and a nice heat level but nothing crazy.

The lady that served us was nice and checked up on us a few times. The parking around the area is just street parking and can be hard so give your self some time to find parking.

Came here during the week and it was pretty hard to find parking, but luckily was able to snag a spot nearby. The store is a little small, but really nice. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. I ended up getting the bulgogi burger combo with fries and was impressed how flavorful the burger was! The fries were crispy and I was stuffed after my meal.

Highly recommend stopping by here if you are in the area!

Just went to this location for the first time because it’s under a 5 minute walk from my place. Not disappointed at all! The meat in the burgers is amazing. I’ve worked with meat in the past and I can definitely tell they’re serious about quality. The lady attending was very friendly and inviting. I will return with friends again.

Oh G Burger is a must try joint. The West meets the East, burgers with a Korean chef’s kiss. I had there bulgogi burger with a side of fries and a watermelon soda, delisious! Come on, where else can you have a watermelon soda and a burger. Yes please! The place is a vibe, it’s quaint almost like a diner. This place is a perfect place to grab a bite with friends, first date, if you just got dumped, heck celebrate your anniversary with some greese. I’ll be coming back for more Korean burgers

Omg, Oh G is actually the greatest burger treasure in Hayward and the bay area. If you want the familiar type smash burger you cannot go wrong. They use some delicious meat with a perfectly blended sauce. Some flavors go beyond the typical American style burger.

Try the Korean foods as well. The Bulgogi flavor burger is also fantastic!! Everything is delicious. This shop will be packed all time I’m sure once the world gets out. Try it now! Be one of the trendsetters!!!!

The staff is all super friendly and helpful. You get table service. And all questions get answers!! Yum yum yum!!!!

Kind of expensive for the taste and quality. The couple running the place are super friendly!! The burgers are underwhelming and I can’t say I’d even want to try it again…
I had 2 burgers, the smash burger and the bulgogi burger with fries.
The lettuce was extremely soggy, and inedible. Meat patties i believe were only 1/4 pound so very small. I really wanted to like this place but there are better burgers around for sure..
