Amazing banh mi and Pho!! Came here during the summer and during the winter storm and amazing both times for both weathers! The customer service is awesome and the owner makes you feel so welcomed, rare to see that kind of service. We got the Lemon Chicken banh mi and the spicy Lemongrass beef pho. These pictures don’t do it justice. It was the perfect amount of food. There are Sriracha bottles and hoisin sauce on all tables for you to use with your meal. The aesthetics of the place were beautiful from the outside to the inside. It being halal so it’s quality meat! Would definitely recommend and would come back again.

I was so excited about this place after reading the reviews, but I ended up very disappointed. We ordered two noodle bowls with pork belly and two egg rolls, $38 total. What we got was cold noodles and everything was burnt as you can see in the picture. The pork belly was extremely tough, it felt like it had been sitting around for days. I cook a lot and have made pork belly many times, so I know what fresh pork belly should look and taste like. I honestly couldn’t believe they thought this was okay to serve.

I wanted to complain to the waitress, but my bf said to just let it go because they probably couldn’t fix it and it would be a waste of time. So we stayed quiet and told ourselves we would never come back. The portions were small too. We usually eat less than average, but we were still hungry, partly because the food was so bad we couldn’t even finish it. We ended up going to the food court after.

I really don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. I feel bad leaving a bad review because I know it affects their business and I want to support people. But I also don’t want other customers to go through the same experience we did. We deserve to get what we pay for. I’m leaving this review to remind the owner to make changes and do a better job, so customers won’t walk out thinking: what a waste of money!

I came to this cozy Vietnamese restaurant primarily to enjoy a warm, flavorful bowl of pho, but I ended up leaving with a sense of belonging and being part of a welcoming family. Omg, this place was unlike any other I’ve experienced. Its strong sense of community, along with the caring and a strong Mom made the pho here special and memorable.

We had the tofu banh mi and vegan broth. The banh mi itself was too airy. Additionally the tofu had a sour taste. The banh mi lacked filling and depth of flavor. Even the pickled carrots and daikon were not sour or sweet enough. The broth itself was too salty and lacked flavor. I tried this place when it was in Georgetown and it was bad. Its sad to see that the food is still not up to par. Additionally the employees lacked courtesy and care. Please do yourself a favor and head to Eden center or even Four sisters in Clarendon for a better sandwich. This place is a massive L.

Dine in and take outl
Family run and friendly and helpful staff.
The banh mi sandwiches are great and the bread is unbelievable! Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside.
Each order is made when ordered so don’t expect a McDonald’s experience.
Had the beef pho and it was delicious.

I really wanted to like this place since it’s in Ballston, but ended up disappointed in my Banh Mi.
I ordered the Pate & Vietnamese cold cuts Banh Mi and basically got a banh mi filled with a lot of carrots, a cucumber, small pieces of cilantro, 1-2 small pieces of Viet pork sausage (Cha Lua), a sprinkle of pork floss, and 1 thin piece of boiled pork. You could barely taste any pate or mayo, it was basically a Carrot Banh Mi. I was really disappointed to find literally no cold cuts/meat in the sandwich, which was $10.73 in total + tax, no additional items. In the picture attached you could barely see any meats in the cross section cut. For the price of this – you are better off getting any Banh Mis from Eden Center or going to Banh Mi DC for a bigger portion, worth the price, and taste better.

Really just disappointed in the quantity of meat/cold cuts and the quality of this and genuinely just shocked when I opened my sandwich…

Service – the guy was nice, customer service was fine.
Atmosphere – it’s just dark there and not spacious where they have some items on shelves they want to sell. Randomly sells ice cream and other pastries which didn’t look very fresh.

Food is beyond great, but that’s the least of what to expect from this restaurant.

This restaurant is ran by a mother and son, making the food taste as homemade and loved as possible.

The owners energy and warm welcoming makes the experience 20x better.

Has Halal options too.

My personal favorite was the Beef, I would def recommend extra protein and noodles if you can eat more than the average person.

Great experience.

I thought the Banh mi was excellent! In particular, their bread was the best I’ve had for a banh mi. And it was like $9 for the sandwich. Definitely worth a try, and probably many more visits after that 🙂

Great food, small yet cozy area, and amazing service. The lemongrass pho is delicious with a rich broth and marinated tender beef chunks, which I added brisket slices for an extra $3 (very worth it)! The banh mi had fresh home made crispy bread that was absolutely heavenly.

The chicken wings were an amazing side and we decided to get the ma’s special rice cake which was unbelievable and I’ve never had anything like it at any other Vietnamese spot!

I have no idea where these good reviews come from. Let me start by saying, please drive a bit and get authentic Vietnamese bahn mi and food, this place is NOT authentic and heavily overpriced. Stay away.

Pick up order for a beef bahn mi and chicken vermicelli: $32.

As the other bahn mi reviews have stated, you get a carrot bahn mi regardless of what you choose. Mine was extra special since and came with a stale bread that cut up my mouth with every bite. I honestly have no idea how they charge $15 pickup for this, I actually do feel like its a scam but this pales in comparison to the vermicelli.

The lemongrass chicken vermicelli, please just look at the picture. You’d almost mistake it for a order of sauce with a side of vermicelli. What is this? The whole container is the size of what youd normally get for the rice noodle itself at most Vietnamese places. But to fill it up with CONTAINERS of sauce and a side and charge $15 pickup for it, thats just low, very low.

I definitely do feel scammed out of $32, it wouldve gone a long way at other restaurants. Luckily, I was able to get a full refund for the pick up order on Wonder, otherwise I would’ve disputed this charge for quality and inaccurate depictions.
