Stopped in, this was one of Grandma Mildred Smith’s favorite places to bring people. We enjoyed a pan fried walleye, big wheel burger, Ruben and a grilled cheese. Carol was our table staff. What a great local spot. Food was excellent. We even enjoyed a couple pieces of pie. If you’re in Watertown, stop in, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Carol.

I had a choice between China wok and wheel inn. My wife was getting China wok. I chose wheel inn. Ham stacker with cheese balls. I finished my food and told my wife “I should’ve gotten China wok”. Cheese balls were over cooked, I got under a half cup of ranch and usually it’s lettuce,onion, tomato, pickles. No pickles. I’ve been getting this thing for 20+ yrs. I just go less and less over the years as they change bread and smaller portions. Still my favorite thing they have, it just is lacking over the last few years.

Hot Beef Combo! That’s it – That’s what you should order when you come to the wheel inn. Honestly, all the rest of the food that my family tried was also good. Service is exceptional, and when you want down home good food, this is the place to go.

Food was decent. Waitress couldn’t keep up with the 2 tables that she had, very forgetful, inattentive and seemed more worried about filling the jelly trays and ordering her dinner! Couldn’t help but notice that the hostesses pink Crocs looked like they had never been cleaned. Only noticed this because she would crumple up receipts and throw them onto the floor instead of the heaping trash can next to her. She and three waitresses and walked by and over it for about an hour.

If I could give negative stars I would. I was so excited to have biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast. Called in my order, was told 10/15 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my order it wasn’t even put in, so had to wait then get home to enjoy my breakfast it was Chicken gravy, YELLOW GRAVY NOT SAUSAGE GRAVY.. We used to love having meals, great conversations a great time with good food, it is no longer the place it used to be.. Never again. Disappointed
