My first time here with my friends, and we had a BLAST! The food was exquisite, drinks fantastic, and the wait staff was OUTSTANDING! Carter was our waiter, and he was very informative and attentive. We will definitely be returning.

My coworker and I visited this place while in town on business. I love the concept. It’s an old house, looks like an old plantation house, turned into a restaurant/bar. When you drive up the front of the house has the big white columns and lots of windows. It definitely looks like a place that used to own slaves. I found a staircase while looking for the bathroom that was hidden and figured that was for the “help.” The dining area is not very spacious, but it went along with the theme. Our table was super close to the others around it, you had no choice but to get to know your neighbors. I got a drink recommended by our server. It was so good, but I can’t remember the name or her name. We had just eaten, so we didn’t get food, but our neighbors seemed to be enjoying their food. The service was amazing here. Everyone was so gracious and kind. Everyone was dressed professionally and seemed to enjoy themselves. Our drinks came out super fast too. I explored the space a bit to find a restroom. That’s when I saw that little staircase. The bathroom was cute and clean. The house looked a bit like a museum. I’d go back again to at least have a chance to try some food.

We went here last night for a Saturday night girls’ night and had a party of 6. As soon as we walked up, we were impressed with the presentation, atmosphere, and the vibes of the library lounge and the hotel. We were seated immediately and our server was Taja! She was super personable and fun, and she did a great job. The drinks were all delicious and we enjoyed all of the drinks. Although, at about 9:30pm after only one of us had ordered an espresso martini and the bar said they couldn’t make anymore of them which seemed too early in the night for that. We ordered a few appetizers, the first of which was the pimento cheese “beignets” which were amazing!! We expected the rest of the food to follow suit. The charcuterie board was decent, the truffle fries were almost plain French fries with one or two cheese sprinkles on them, and we got the dessert sampler which was a huge disappointment. We ordered the crème brûlée, brownie, key like pie, and peach cobbler to be in the sampler and we got the brownie, red velvet cake, a cookie (?), and something that looked like white cake with green jelly icing on it (key lime pie?), and Taja said that the kitchen told her to essentially “take it or leave it”. One of the girls in the group recognized the cookie as being from Whole Foods, so I would not be surprised if everything came from a grocery store cookie, cupcake, or brownie.

All of that to say, I would still suggest you check out this cool spot, but I would not take a chance on any of the food except the pimento cheese “beignets”.

Visited the Fairview for my birthday dinner with friends and my wife and I stayed also.

Service was as always, exceptional. Shelby and the other sweet girl were both amazing. They helped make our dinner feel special and cared to us extremely well. They even helped to several photos of the group in front of the Christmas tree.

We’ve had many great experiences here, but they made it one of the best.

I typically have good experiences here but last night was a very poor display of customer service. I was there for the Hamilton trivia night. The waitress came to take my order and I stated that I wanted a bowl of gumbo and oysters. I also emphasized that I wanted a BOWL of gumbo several times. However, when i got my food it was a cup of gumbo, not a bowl. I notified the waitress that I ordered a bowl and her response was “Oh, well I put it in as a cup. You wanted a bowl?” and my response was “Yes”. Despite this exchange I NEVER actually got the BOWL of gumbo I ordered. I would also like to note that the gumbo wasn’t even hot when I received it. Also, one of the oyster shells was just missing the actual OYSTER that should have been in it. I notified the waitress that an oyster was missing from my meal. I asked if they were going to bring me an oyster to replace the missing one and her response was “No”. Completely unacceptable. The trivia night was fun and I enjoyed the event but the waitressed really soured the whole experience.

Intimate space with delicious and unique drinks named after books! I like to peek at the board for the featured drink of the day if youre feeling bold but also the bartenders are well skilled and can craft a drink for you on the spot. The space is cinematic and romantic. There is outdoor seating under the old trees. Great for a date or quiet night out after work with friends. Lastly, the food is a excellent compliment to the atmosphere and drinks and very filling.

The Library is a really great place to go to get a drink in a setting that is lower in volume — both people and noise. The drinks are very good — I recommend the Margaret Walker (a basil gimlet). The beer menu isn’t the most extensive, but a large selection of well made mixed drinks. The patio outside or one the the two rooms inside are great for having a drink and an actual conversation that isn’t had at a level of having to yell over people or music.

First time to eat here. The ambiance was very nice. So 1800s you would expect to see Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Nice! Menu is not really broad but a variety of steak, fish, pasta. Prices are reasonable. Really enjoyed the evening out here. Very good service.

Nice lounge! Fish tacos were great, fries were a bit too greasy too me. The non-alcoholic cocktail, I forgot the name of, was great.
