Samantha was a wonderful server and ensured we enjoyed our time here.
We were waited on by Slate, a very attentive server that made sure we were well taken care of-Props to him!
We had some Fried Pickles (very good) and ordered a Double Dipper Sandwich and 30 Wings. All of our food came out at the same time and while the sandwich was hot and flavorful, my mac and cheese was lukewarm (at best) as well as my parents wings and fries. We asked for our food to be re-made hot, making note that we would gladly wait for our wings to be made fresh to ensure that they would be hot this time around. Note: We are restaurant people with decades of hands on experience and know how tough the business is-we don’t look for problems when we go out and we respect industry operators and workers. We appreciate high quality food and service and will be patient if/when issues happen (and they will happen) so there is no need to lose your cool with people over something that can be fixed!
After waiting ten minutes for our recook, our server returned. Our sides were definitely hot, but when the wings came back out this round, they were noticeably warmer, but definitely weren’t hot let alone remade fresh as requested-we know this because you cant take a chicken wing out of a 350 degree fryer after its been cooking for 10 mins and strip it to the bone without it burning your fingers. Rather than sending them back a second time we just told the manager who followed up that all was well, and ate what was given to us to avoid additional issues. Shortly after, the Slate returned to inform us that they would be discounting the bill-but that isnt what we were looking for nor expected. We would have been happy to pay full price if it were simply remade RIGHT when given the opportunity. Do it right and or fix it right and good people won’t mind paying full price!
While the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was satisfactory, the food being as expensive as it was when compared to the size and cook quality of the wings combined with them not being corrected after a previous mistake docks points for this visit.
I hope that Jefferson’s management learns from this mistake and feedback and continues to improve-WE ARE ROOTING FOR YOU TO SUCCEED!
