I was riding my Harley from Portland to Seattle when I got caught in a bad storm, so I stopped by to enjoy an amazing breakfast and warm up/dry off by the fire!
The place was clean, and the vibe was absolutely perfect. The service and staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I probably overstayed my welcome by taking over the entire fireplace, but I definitely enjoyed my time there.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict and added four extra poached eggs, they were all cooked perfectly!
I also had a few espressos ☕️ and the cinnamon bun with their special cream cheese sauce. So good!

It is a pool hall so if you are looking for real quiet never mind. It’s not real noisy but can get a bit raucous. They have a excellent seasonal menu besides their usual one. They have quite a selection of their own beers. My husband and I go quite often when we feel like not cooking. It’s also fun to watch a movie and eat & drink sometimes.

Wonderful McMenamins location in Centralia. Great people and good accommodations with creative artwork.
Great place to watch a movie, catch a game, play a game or to stay the night.

Lovely restaurant bar with some really great, friendly staff and good food/drinks. This place has the typical McMenamins vibe where it’s quirky but yet historically intact. A beautiful space that for the history is worth a visit. They will be celebrating their 116th year for this location on Jan 20th 2023. Server was super friendly and accommodating the entire time. Made us feel super welcome. We ordered 2 Aztec salads and 1 Greek salad(can’t remember the name) with the added grilled chicken. Super huge salads that were filling and it was noticeable that all the ingredients were fresh. The grilled chicken had flavor and was quite a good addition. Tried their pomegranate basque cheesecake and it was to pretty amazing. It was a little lighter than your traditional NY cheesecake. Would recommend for anyone to try this place!

McMenamins always has good quality to their food, and this one is no exception. Each part of the food was delicious and well-cooked, especially the bacon, and I can’t get enough of their tater tots or the sauces that come with. It’ll be on the pricier end, but McMenamins is always that way, and you always get what you pay for.

We visited two years ago and returned to enjoy this iconic place again. The food was very good as was the service. The environs are an intriguing look back to another time, but comfortable and cozy.

Went here while driving through, working on getting our passport stamps. Really sweet bartenders and always great food and drinks. I had the blackberry cider and my boyfriend got some sort of stout. We also ordered the cajun tots. They were sadly out of the pretzel sticks which are my favorite but the tots were sufficient. We got to walk around the Olympic Hotel looking for the clue for our stamp and we really liked the decor and bathrooms. Couldn’t see into the rooms but they are always so funky and fun. For parking we weirdly always get lucky and get a street spot right in front but I think there are parking lots near by, possibly paid lots and of course tons of street parking available up and down the street. 10/10 would recommend any Mcmenamin’s any where, any time. 🙂

Fish and Chips was tender and the batter stayed crispy not peeling or fried away.

I never ordered food here. in fact I’ve only really popped in when I’ve been on the quest to complete my passport. One day I’m going to stay here and explore the movies that they have and have a drink while I settle down little town. The history of this whole place is pretty phenomenal so I highly suggest you look it up. The bartenders are always really friendly here in the location. that’s pretty cool. I don’t think there’s a lot to do. The hotel that’s here used to be a brothel. does that make you think twice before you go to the bathroom? lol. I had something happen to me in Tacoma at the McMenamins there and I unloaded it on the bartender that was at this particular place and they just listened and responded in a very positive manner. they had a similar experience. I guess Tacoma is the way it is. definitely come in here. enjoy the conversations in a small place.

Pescatarian Alert: The Ahi here is good quality and ample for your meal here. I have spent the last year working 2wks a month in WA, and am always shocked with the inability to get good fish outside of Seattle. Now, I shall bounce between McMenamins and Royal Sushi in Chehalis for my meals, while working in Centralia.
Vibe: PNW vibes are strong here. The loud-ass bartender is legit living his best life, making the loudness adorable instead of grating. The servers are either fantastic actors, or they actually enjoy their lives too. My server saved me from ordering a glass off the HH menu 9 min too early. I saw a server correct people at a big table who didn’t realize that due to their party size, tip was included. (Who does that?! Maybe I’m just a bad person, but when I served, I giggled with delight when I got double tipped by accident.)
There are pool tables and games that are separated from the eating area, but just by a little, which is nice. I’m here on work so I’m alone, but I can imagine if 2 people in a party of 4+ want to play, it’s nice for them to be not too close and not too far. There’s also board games and books in the mini library, so super chill vibe.
Will come back. You should visit. Don’t let the name “Tourist bar” discourage you.
***I’m a NYer, so if anything sounds negative, read it through that lens. This was a very positive experience, but I have insight to know how I come off, but don’t care enough to change it.
