The only downside for me is that some items felt a bit overpriced. That said, the quality is definitely there, and the experience overall was worth it.
I highly recommend giving this place a try if you enjoy fresh, mindful, feel‑good food served in a warm, eclectic space.
Their salad bar is an absolute delight. Tons of options, all fresh and lovely, and the only thing I can still think about eating on the same day I have to do a nerve wracking public speaking event and my stomach decides to drop into fight or flight.
Again bowls? Heavenly.
Lattes? Perfection.
This cold matcha latte? Divine.
Have I had their soups yet? No, but you better bet that’s the next thing I’ll purchase now that it is spooky season.
Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, no notes
The ladies that work here are very patient!
I really appreciated that they had a lot of non-dairy options due to me being allergic that was very, very convenient.
I love the scenery, I love the vibe, I love the energy! Definitely will be coming back here and enjoying another meal!
As someone with a gluten allergy, I’m always cautious about eating out, but Happy Hippie never disappoints. They offer a wide variety of gluten-free options that are both nutritious and delicious. I always feel safe eating here, and that peace of mind is priceless. They also have many dairy-free and vegan options. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about ingredients and dietary restrictions and they’re always happy to answer questions and make sure you feel taken care of.
My go-to is the PB & J açaí bowl. I also love the Erin Emerald’s Envy smoothie, and I’m a die-hard fan of their housemade granola. I buy it every time I visit. They also have herbal teas and kombucha on tap! All of the other bowls, smoothies, and food items I’ve tried over the years have always been consistently fresh and flavorful. A lot of care and effort is put into their food items.
The atmosphere is also very cozy and welcoming. It’s a great place if you need to study, read a book, or catch up with friends.
I don’t live in MHK anymore, but Happy Hippie is always at the top of my list whenever I’m back in town.
They have GF breakfast wraps (which are also made with dairy free cheese.) I think all or most of their acai bowls are GF! The oats they use are certified gluten free. House made granola is GF. They can sub GF bread on sandwiches! And even have GF pumpkin muffins and protein balls. I can’t believe it was my first time trying! I plan to go back ALOT!
Pictured is the GF/Dairy free breakfast wrap, and one of their June special acai bowls- “Aloha Bowl”.
The restaurant itself is super cozy and welcoming and has such a relaxing and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend, especially if you’re gluten free!
The music and the atmosphere make it a great spot to hang out for a bit, and if you spend some mindful moments you can notice little notes in the wall and all the pretty plants too.
