it’s a cute little restaurant the food options are great. i had the meatloaf which was way bigger than i expected very delicious. my bf and i shared the bacon scallops and they were divine. they gave my bf a feee glass of wine because we came there for his beef wellington and it was way too raw to be eaten so they made him a new plate and it gotten a bit better definitely needed to be cooked more in the pan before going into the oven. the staff was amazing and very generous always coming to check on us.

We had a great time here sitting by the street. I’ve tasted lots of truffles burrata, but they made it with tomato which goes surprisingly good. Green curry mussel was good as always, and beef Wellington came with puffy pastry and just right amount of saltiness.

We had a great night at the restaurant. They were super accommodating to my food allergies. The balsamic vinegar on the peach salad was delicious. The only imperfection was the beef Wellington was undercooked. The puff pastry was doughy, which just needed a few more min in the oven.

We went to Frances for brunch and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and Chris was an awesome server! The owner even came out to say hello and introduce herself. We will definitely be back soon for brunch and also for dinner. Make sure you put Frances on your list of restaurants to try, I know you’ll love it!

We happened upon this place by accident and I am so grateful we did. To start please know that this is a true “your mom is cooking an amazing dinner” kind of place, and amazing food takes time. So grab a drink or two from the great bartender, sit back, relax, and if you are outside people watch. I highly recommend the crab cakes because they were delightful and mainly lump crab with little filler. A must try next time you are in Shadyside.

Had perfectly cooked eggs Benedict for a solo brunch today. Lexi was a great waitress who seemed genuinely pleased that I was enjoying my meal. French press coffee and a couple of mimosas completed the meal. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

I came here last night for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we got a nice little table in front of the window. The atmosphere was very nice. I got the chicken for dinner and it was delicious. I also had to order the chocolate coconut cake for dessert which was also a good choice. Overall it was a wonderful evening! Definitely recommend coming here for a nice night out.

Great atmosphere. The street corn was delicious, but the two entrees we tried–the rainbow trout and the octopus–were a little too salty. It was disappointing that the octopus didn’t come with the tomato and paprika as the menu indicated. No explainations. Had higher expectations with this price.

Absolutely have to try this place! The service, decor and food was out of this world! Very accommodating and let us order off both menus(Frankie’s bar and grill) since they were a little on the slower side tonight, chef was willing to do that. This is a family owned and operated business, the chef(owner tonight) even came out to mingle with people. Our waiter,Chris, was attentive and offering up suggestions which always helps! We will be back with more people. This place deserves to stay in business, go and support them and find out for yourself why they are getting great reviews!
