What a gem in the heart of Battle Ground! Such a cute, cozy spot with a warm atmosphere—I love places like this. I even call it the ‘Ginger House,’ because at night it’s glowing with lights and looks like a fairytale home!

Wow! What a coffee shop that’s more than a coffee shop in the heart of Battle Ground! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Rooms can even be rented by the hour for meetings, workshops, birthdays, showers, crafting, book study, Bible study, or a luncheon as their flier advertises! Rates can be found on their website.

They have calm music playing low so good for hearing conversation or studying. The Barista was welcoming and friendly!

They offer lovely coffee, loose leaf tea, La Provence pastries, and have breakfast and lunch options as well.

There’s about 8 parking spots with free street parking all around as well.

They did a great job making this building that seems like it was once a home into an impressive business.

It’s nice that they’ve incorporated a nice variety of local artisan pieces for sale! This would be a nice stop to find a unique and special gift as well.

Founder’s Mercantile and Coffee is my favorite coffee shop! I love going there! The ladies who work there are friendly and helpful. It’s a cute, welcoming environment! I’ve liked everything I’ve tried, each time I come in! They have so many fun little things to shop for, too! I found out that they carry IV Tea, there, too!

My 1st visit. I looked at the menu before i went and knew i wanted the roast beef meal. They don’t offer it anymore. I chose the avocado blt. I like the bread, lettuce is clean and crisp. Fine tomato. I would have wanted the bacon to be crisper. Good cookie. I bought the Candy Cane Lane Mocha frappe. The only bit of peppermint was crushed candy on top of the whipped cream. I might have tried a drop of peppermint extract in the mocha part. I rarely eat out and probably won’t eat here again. They sell a small amount of artisan items.

I got the chance to drop by yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! I didn’t really have any expectations coming in but at every stage I was overwhelmed with the quality products and customer service of this cafe!

On a personal note, I was very excited to see that the coffee they use is a roast specially made for them by Compass Coffee, my favorite small batch roaster in the Vancouver area! Their tea offerings, sourced from another high quality local business, IV Tea, include a number of excellent blends with enough variety to have something for anyone.

The service was impeccable, too. I made a few silly requests, including asking about ingredients (I have some odd allergies that I need to be careful of) and asking for an unusual style of chai tea latte. All of my requests were met with a friendly smile and a patient willingness to help. I felt welcomed instead of feeling like a difficult customer, which is not always my experience in a typical “hurry up and order” coffee shop. Instead, I felt this cafe had a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that invites you to sit down, relax, and stay awhile.

I really enjoyed my first experience here at Founder’s and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Kinda pricey place in downtown Battle Ground. $4.25 for a cup of coffee and $3.50 for a God awful piece of banana bread. Other than that, the staff were great and the outdoor dining was very pleasant. I’ll probably go back for the atmosphere, but order and try other selections. I’ll update after another try.

So I ordered a everything bagel.
I ate half of it…burnt…with the small amount of cream cheese they give you.
Coffee is great.
Service is great.
Food however? Not so great.
Burnt bagel with just enough cream cheese to barely cover half? Ya not good

My boss and I rented the large meeting room to work out of for a couple of days and it was fantastic. The room felt like home it was so cozy. Everywhere you look there are goods from local artists and craftsmen. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the coffee was great. I highly recommend the turkey sandwich. It was outstanding!
