La Di Da Pizza Warms Burlington With New York-Style … – Seven Days
Has anyone tried La Di Da pizza yet? : r/burlington – Reddit

This place is my new favorite Pizza in the greater Burlington area–if you can get it fresh and hot, it’s fantastic NY-style pizza. I say that as someone who grew up working in my NY family’s Italian restaurants, but allow me to elaborate with a short narrative and description…
I ordered the pizza and was told it would be 25 minutes. I arrived early because I wasn’t sure where exactly the place was, but also because I wanted to check it out. I was early, and the pizza was right on time–it came out one minute before they said it would, which is perfect timing.
The crust is flavorful, with just the right amount of salt in the dough to make it actually taste like something instead of nothing, but not so much that it actually tastes salty. The bottom crust is thin and crispy, with just a bit of char from the stone. The outside crust is thicker and chewier, and maybe a hair over how I prefer it, but otherwise very well done. It’s also sprinkled with cheese (I didn’t ask if it was Reggiano, but it tasted like real cheese and I watched them grate it fresh in front of me). And here’s a test you can run on your own: pick up a slice of pizza. Does it collapse? Can you hear the sound of the crispy crust as it crunches between your fingers? This place passes all those tests and more with flying colors.
The sauce is also good–not too sweet, not too salty, but a great balance and evenly applied. Since the crust is so thin on bottom, you don’t want a ton of sauce weighing down the slice–and they nailed it. Just enough to taste it, but not enough to overpower the structure.
The Mozzarella was good as well, and I can tell you from experience that a lot of places will save money buying the cheap cheese. I ordered my customary Pepperoni, Broccoli, Extra cheese, and they had a good balance. There was a ton of ‘roni, which is great. They might have pushed the cheese towards the outside crust a bit more (since when cheese melts its essentially a liquid and tends to run towards the center of the pie) but overall it was very good.
The toppings were fresh and delicious, and worthy of praise. The atmosphere is a bit industrial, but they do their best to spruce it up with friendly faces and a few decorations. I’d have liked a Cannoli or maybe Tiramisu, but that’s a lot to ask from such a small kitchen, and anyway I’m not reviewing things that aren’t there. The service was excellent, and the employees seemed happy, which is nice.
Side note: I actually ordered a whole pizza, but I’m only including the photos of the slices I took from it, because the owner didn’t like the way it looked enough to have the algorithm have its way. I thought it looked good, but fair enough, and anyway you can see what the pizza looks like pretty well from the slices. If there’s enough demand, I’ll post the whole pie photos.
The place seems kid friendly, and I would not hesitate to bring mine next time.
The only real downside is the cost. I know prices are up everywhere, and that current economic conditions make running a place that sells food incredibly difficult, but I also know I can’t afford to pay 45 dollars for a pizza very often, even if it is the best one I’ve had in a long time.
That said, I’ll save up for next time, because I do feel like, of all the places to get a pie in VT, this one is absolutely worth it. And I will also say this: I ate a third piece in the car on the way back to work, it was that good.
Overall, I give this pizza experience a 9.5/10, and would highly recommend.
Google maps takes you to the back parking lot, walk around to the front (seee photo). Back door of building is locked.
Half n Half
The Hot Mama needed more calabrian chili and less mushrooms but still good
The Oh La La was really good too
Update:
Froze leftovers, tastes even better reheated weeks later
Got take out and only because it was freezing out I had to heat it up when I got home. 350 for 5 minutes and it was like it just came out of the pizza oven…super crispy crust…this never happens with any other pizza. Legit. Great price too…the pizza has huge…barely fit in the box. Get some!
