Reviews
We ordered the wonton noodle and the 2 BBQ items platter. The first bite of my wonton was fishy. Maybe 1 bad shrimp, but the other wontons were okay. The noodles were good, but not as good as the Sam Woo on Las Tunas Blvd (next to 168 Supermarket) and the wontons were not as good as Cafe Spot (across from Garden Cafe’) on Baldwin. Good, but not great.
What was Excellent was the BBQ dishes. The pork skin was so crispy and tasty. Perfect. The BBQ duck was also very very good. The BBQ dishes were flavorful and made up for the somewhat bland wonton noodle dish.
I’ll be back for more.
I remember when this plaza was nice and new. It’s deteriorated over the years. I believe this restaurant used to be Sam-woo express.
Unfortunately, There are now many vacant stores.
It appears they’re trying to refinish the plaza.
There’s plenty of free self parking.
The restaurant is clean but could use a bit of refurbishing.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
The menu has lots of yummy Cantonese dishes to choose from.
We were there for a friend’s birthday party so we ordered lots of dishes to sample and share (family style).
Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.
The menu is extensive, and they’re flexible—you can special order certain dishes, which we really appreciate. A friend of ours is a regular here, so we know the quality is consistently high and the ingredients are always fresh.
The service is super friendly and welcoming—it honestly feels like visiting family. It’s one of those places where you can relax, enjoy great food, and feel right at home.
The portion is as usual huge, similar to other eateries in US.
I initially only ordered the 双拼饭, with roast duck and roast pork as the 双拼, as I was not sure how good will it be. Turns out the roast duck was really very good! The roast pork was not bad as well.
With my appetite whetted, I later added a wanton soup. The wanton was quite huge and the fillings were very generous. The soup was also very tasty.
Highly recommend this place.
When I saw fellow Yelpers talking about a newly opened HK cafe restaurant at this location, I decided to give it try. I was not disappointed with the food and service.
Unlike the previous occupant, the newly remodeled restaurant is bright and clean. The staff are definitely friendlier and helpful.
The foods were delicious and better than Sam Woo. We had two dishes for lunch. Since the first thing you see when come in to this restaurant is the BBQ section, we had to order two BBQ meats. The meats were tender and flavorful. I would say the taste is above average. But the Chinese broccoli with dried fish was fantastic and full of wok hei. The authentic HK cooking style showed up on this dish, definitely recommend getting this one for HK food lover.
With the new owner, the prices had gone up too. For the two meat BBQ dish, the price had gone up to $15 compared to Sam Woo at $12. But I think it’s still worth coming here to indulge in HK food in order to satisfy your craving.
Just want to warn everyone who plans to eat here: if you want to have a happy meal, stay away from this restaurant.

They charged me $10tip without my authority which shows on my bank statement. They are suck. BEWARE OF IT, IF YOU ARE FIRST TIME OR AS TOURISTS IN THIS AREA.
