Fun spot for lunch and dinner, family atmosphere with lots of fun stuff to look at from the 50s and 60s and rock and roll music. Plenty of choices from the menu even for the picky eater, plus meal deals for hot dogs to hamburgers. And salads too. It’s all cooked fresh and served in paper bags when they call your number. Enjoy!

My New Year’s Day lunch at Portillo’s was exactly what I hoped for pure comfort and consistency. Every time I come here, I know I’m going to leave satisfied. Hot fries, hot food, quick and friendly service, and even the soda tastes better because they actually filter their water.

I ordered the beef with cheddar and nacho cheese, sweet and hot peppers on a croissant, plus the spicy chicken salad with Caesar dressing. And of course, the chocolate cake shake where they literally blend in a slice of cake. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious.

I also love that they make it easy to grab their hot peppers, chocolate cake, and beef to go right when you walk in. The bathrooms were clean, stocked, and even the soft paper towels came in handy. Plenty of parking as well.

If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate. Portillo’s never disappoints.

First time at Portillo’s close to AsiaTown in Katy (99 at I-10)
#1 on the menu is an Italian beef sandwich, like a New Orleans-style po’ boy sandwich featuring Italian-inspired deli meats (salami, ham, mortadella, pepperoni) or Italian sausage, usually served on crusty French bread.

Didn’t think it was anything special. If I return I might try something else on the menu.

Didn’t taste fresh.

They also have hotdogs, salad and burgers.

Very nice restaurant interior, like a fancy gas station.

Delicious Food. They don’t prepare your food for eating in. Everything is like to go, and it’s a shame because it is a nice big and roomy restaurant..they watch people closely. I’m not sure why, but besides that; THE FOOD IS AWESOME. The counter calls your number and you pick up your food. One of the cooks behind the counter forgot some items in our order.
But when we asked about it, she brought it out to us in 2 trips.

They don’t have a choice on the menu to get the grilled onions or mustard on the Italian Sausage sandwich, but it is soooooooo good. The chocolate cake is delicious , the gravy bread is delicious, and the chopped spicy chicken salad is to die for. BUT they only have their house dressing, which is disappointing..I love Bleu Cheese, so you got to bring your own if your don’t like the Gardinera one they carry..( I don’t like that dressing, a little too vinegary for me, but hubby loved it)

The portions are hugemongous. I love that. Very well seasoned. I will be going to them again. This time I may try their burgers out. Oh yeah, the shakes are tasty too. . Good food. I it .

Had the 2 dog deal, excellent flavor with just enough spice from the peppers. The smash burger was done perfectly crispy but not dry, the spicy chicken was delicious and the fries were crisp and hot.
10/10 recommend

I have always been a fan of Portillo’s ever since I visited their flagship restaurant in Chicago. The theme is cute, the menu is fairly extensive, and it’s just a different experience from your other casual dining eateries

For those who don’t know, this is a Chicago chain that gradually made its way to Texas. They offer Chicago delicacies like the Chicago dog, polish dog, Italian beef, etc. They also have burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and even plant-based hot dogs. Their fries a signature crinkle cuts. They also have onion rings, cheese sauce (for fries and hot dogs), and shakes

This location much be very new. The staff was incredibly on point. Everyone was friendly, helpful, professional, and efficient. The interior and exterior are immaculate

I ordered the Italian beef because it’s a Chicago staple, and I’m a fan. The sandwich itself is both dry (in terms of sauce), and simultaneously soggy (in terms of bread. I opted to try the chocolate cake shake, and while it does taste so much like the cake and there are cake particles on every gulp, it was soooo rich… but good! The crinkle fries were perfectly prepared in terms of crunch, color, and salt

I do wish they provided napkins and maybe a couple packets of ketchup with your order (especially if you order fries). They have these items, but you have to grab them yourself. I suppose that helps with over all sustainability.

Some tips:
Join their rewards program. They offer $10 off your first order. Also, on your birthday, half birthday, and sign up anniversary you can get a free slice of their delectable chocolate cake

Cheers!!

Good price, great food, outstanding service! I live in Pasadena and was on the west side of town so I took advantage of my trip and stopped at Portillo’s. There was a delay at the drive through of about 5 minutes to take my order. The lady that took my payment apologized for the delay. I told her it was no problem since I had traveled from the other side of town to which she was surprised. I got my food and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was given a slice of chocolate cake gor free! Thank you for the sweet surprise and outstanding service!

Came here in a Friday afternoon. This place is a huge fast food joint. They have self ordering kiosks as well as a cashier to take your orders. They have a pretty decent menu of burgers , hot dogs, and sandwiches. I got the Italian beef sandwich and added peppers and cheese sauce with a large fries. The total came out to a little under 18 bucks. The Sammy was pretty darn good and filling. The fries were crinkle cut and well seasoned and crispy.

I was highly satisfied with my customer service at Portillo’s because of how well my concern was handled. My husband and I spent about $60 on our order, which included a Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, a bacon double cheeseburger with grilled onions, a chopped salad with extra dressing, fries, chocolate cake, and a chocolate cake shake. Unfortunately, the salad arrived with wilted lettuce, no dressing, and barely any chicken.

I called the restaurant and spoke with the general manager, Tray, who immediately took ownership of the issue. He was professional, kind, and quick to make things right. He more than compensated us for the salad and even offered two coupons, letting us know he hoped we would give Portillo’s another chance since it was our first visit.

His genuine customer service turned a disappointing moment into a positive experience, and I truly appreciate the way he valued us as customers. I will definitely be returning.

During my initial visit, I encountered a discrepancy in the pricing structure. Despite the menu indicating combo options, my order was processed à la carte, resulting in a higher-than-expected bill. The “Big Beef Combo,” priced at approximately $15 on the menu, totaled $23. While a staff member clarified the à la carte nature of the order, the menu’s description of combo offerings, which include a small fry and drink, was misleading. The situation was subsequently addressed by a manager, who provided a comprehensive explanation and adjusted the register price, resulting in a more favorable outcome. Upon sampling the “Big Beef” sandwich, the quality did not meet expectations, particularly in comparison to previous experiences. My decision to try this establishment was influenced by promotional advertising on social media platforms. I am not inclined to provide a positive review simply due to external factors. Regarding future visits, I may return, now that I have a better understanding of the operational procedures, and I will consider exploring alternative menu options.

I came back to Portillo’s to try their burger bundle which was a cheeseburger with fries and a drink I decided to try this because of the price I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed in the burger the burger reminded me of a Burger King Whopper now the pickles onions tomatoes everything was fresh on here and crispy one of the best I’ve had in awhile but the burger tasted like a Burger King Burger I was not impressed at all with it the only thing that I was impressed with was of course the my favorite kind of fries that they have is is the crinkle fries also their soda machine was out of the Coke Zero and I had to get it from the catering Department which tasted kind of flat so they might have a problem with just a Coke Zero today was it worth the 1099 price probably for somebody that you know just want something quick but I will stick with the hot dogs and their beef sandwiches I’ll try and try some other stuff next time I just noticed they had ribs
