Me and my man went after I had left pontotoc for 3 years. I knew the owner his name is Sonny. He used to sleep in the storage unit beside his food truck. I went and we had to wait 40+ minutes when we were the only people there. There was no healthy drinking options like why is there not any water? Then bottled water is $2. Honestly was better when yall would sell cans. I went in the bathroom twice and I couldn’t bring myself to even sit down or even lay my hand on the sink. It was so disgusting. Like what restaurant doesn’t keep up sanitary with their bathrooms? They’re supposed to be cleaned every shift and it looked like it was never cleaned. Food was fine but how was the food truck better? Should’ve just stayed a to go spot honestly.

We love Goku! We have tried most of their menu, and everything has been delicious. The service is always quick and friendly as well. My 1 year old highly recommends the Hibachi vegetables. Worth the visit if you’re in town!!

I called in a to go order 30 minutes before arrival. They told me 10-15 minutes. Not a huge deal. I get things happen. When I arrived you could smell cigarette smoke. Not just a faint smell. Someone in the kitchen was actively smoking a cigarette around the food they were preparing. I ordered a chicken hibachi plate. None of the vegetables were cooked. The chicken was not great either. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but this place has really gone down hill. It use to be a favorite of mine. The young man working the counter was nice and I left a 20% tip regardless of the experience.

Food had a nice flavor. A little on the pricey side for it being a small town. Only sodas no free water want to sell you a bottle. I guess welcome to post Covid. Plenty of seating. Portions were average size. Will return.

Food is great. Got take out so didn’t experience the direct service. Food took a second to get out, but worth it.

Used to be great, now the food is mediocre. Was told 12 minute wait for 2 basic hibachi plates, almost 50 minutes later finally got the food. Chicken was dry and overcooked, otherwise ok. Kid was behind counter throwing stuff and another was in the lobby screaming the entire wait time.

Ivan and his team make some fantastic food. I definitely didn’t expect to eat sit-down restaurant hibachi from a food truck, but that’s what they have. My dish, steak, shrimp, vegetables, and rice were all very well seasoned and cooked. I don’t generally eat the Yum Sauce, but Goku has some kind of amazing secret recipe. Check them out!

My son took my wife and I to lunch here and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the dishes. Service was friendly and very prompt. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend this establishment. Visit them when ever in Pontotoc and you will be glad you took the time to stop in.
