It was good. One of my son’s favorite spots in Stillwater. I can tell how good a Mexican restaurant is going to be by its chips and salsa. You can tell that Mi Paeblo used fresh oil to fry the chips and do not overcrowd the fry basket. You taste the chip, not the oil and they are cooked evenly. Good salt. Salsa doesn’t seem overly spicy, but by the end of eating it you get the spice. Perfect! Chucky, but we’ll blended. Just like my theory above, the food was prepared fresh and with care as well.

Great place for Mexican. Our family has enjoyed all of the food we have tried. I really liked the barilla quesadillas and the fajitas. Good house margarita too! Plus it’s the decor and feel are beautiful. Service has always been good.

Sad to say I have Mi Pueblo a couple tried and haven’t been very impressed… Online ordering has no option for chips, so it was very annoying the queso or dip appetizers didn’t include any. Chimichangas were soft and small with little indication of being fried (the red on top is my hot sauce). Flavors were just alright, just all a little bland.

Ambience:
The outside of the restaurant hides a vibrant interior with mexican inspired art decorating the walls like a mural of Frida Castro. They have mexican music (banda, corridos, norteñas) playing lightly in the background.
Staff:
The staff was very friendly. My waitress, Isabel, was bilingual, attentive, and very helpful when I asked questions about the menu.
Drinks:
My friend had an agua de horchata. Their recipe is not that creamy but still rich in flavor. The drink came in a jarrito mug, and the weight of it actually scratched the wooden tables when you slid it around. I had a mexican Coca-Cola, cane sugar makes the difference. They have other mexican beverages check out their menu for the full list.
Food:
The menu is enormous, almost overwhelming. They give you chips and salsa as soon as you sit down, salsa seemed to come from a can. I asked about their al pastor recipe, it does not come on a trompo. Their carnitas recipe does not contain buche or cueritos. So, instead, my friend and I got street tacos and fajitas. Their corn tortillas ( I can’t speak about their flour tortillas) are store bought and reheated. The quality of their meat was good but lacked seasoning, at least from a traditional mexican pov. It seemed to me that for the fajitas, they just poured the canned salsa over the meat while cooking. But it came with a side of refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, rice, and lettuce. The tortillas for the street tacos are also store bought and reheated. The carne asada from the taco was tasty.
I want to be clear that the food tastes good. But as a former chef with a mexican cuisine background, I was disappointed.
Price:
For 2 people, 2 drinks (non alcoholic) and 2 dishes, fajitas, and tacos, the total came out to be $54.44. You can see the exact prices in the photos. For the amount of food and quality of it I think was it was worth it.
Overall:
Chill mexican vibes, decent food, I wouldn’t make it my “go-to place,” but I would go back.

The food was very good. We were quickly seated and were instantly asked what to drink. After making our choice we were brought our chips and salsa as well as our drinks. We decided to get the queso which was very good it had a nice thick texture with out feeling like it was still solid. I ordered the Enchiladas Cozumel. It came out fast and tasted amazing the shrimp was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing with the cheese sauce that was on top

Huge portion for the steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas for 2. Chips and queso, amazing! Love the option to be able to get a pitcher of margaritas! Great service! We will be back.

Easily the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. Not only is the atmosphere clean and inviting, the staff is 100% on point for service, and the food is to die for. I have come here with my mother a few times now and we always have an excellent experience. I would recommend the house margaritas and ANY of the burritos. Not to mention the complementary chips and salsa are very delicious. If you live in the area or are passing through make a stop here and you will be impressed. I will continue to visit this location for the best Mexican food in the area!

Food exceeded expectations for the price! Service was good, not great, so it gets a 4/5 star. The atmosphere was nice! The lighting was good with nice decor. The restaurant is small along with the parking lot.

We tried food here as takeout and the experience was subpar. We we’re told about this restaurant by recommendation and decided to give it a go as we just moved a little closer to where it is located. Unfortunately they got our order wrong, But the issues didn’t really end there. The chips were pretty greasy and their salsa just kind of tasted like tomatoes didn’t have a whole lot of flavor to it. Sauces were decent, however they’re pretty spicy so if you’re not into heat, I wouldn’t advise going there. The asada was the best part of the meal, but still not warranting a return in my opinion.
