I have been frequenting Sadie’s for years. Food is fresh and beautifully presented. View of Great Pond is very picturesque. Lots of nice touches like a chocolate covered strawberry with your paid cheque. It isn’t inexpensive. Although it’s isn’t overpriced for the experience. I go at least once during the season. I grew up in Belgrade Lakes and still live in central Maine. Takes me home to go to Sadie’s.

Hands down the worst meal I’ve ever had in the entire state of maine. The seafood chowder was a microscopic bowl of thin tasteless broth with large chunks of overcooked seafood. Stuffed mushrooms were the size of a quarter, and no flavor. Moroccan porkchop was overcooked, underseasoned, and had a few olives on the side. Mashed potatoes totally tasteless. We kept thinking the chef must have quit. Aggressive pricing to top it off. Does not deserve to be in business. Although wait staff very friendly.

The four of us very much enjoyed our dinner dockside at this restaurant. I had the baked stuffed haddock, and it was enough, and not too much. Beautifully prepared, beautifully presented, and tasty as all get out. Perfectly cooked haddock, stuffed with crab and lobster and other seafood, perhaps scallops, I can’t remember. It was served with a sauce and on a bed of greens that itself was a delight to eat.
My wife and sister-in-law had the lobster quesadilla. They did not know that this was one of the small plates, and appetizer, because it was listed on the specials and not marked out as appetizer or small plate. So they were a little disappointed by the size, that there was just one, but it was excellent, and probably appropriately priced given the market price of lobster in that season.
I don’t recall what my brother-in-law ate, but I remember he was delighted with it.

there is a fine line between profit and highway robbery. considering the owners of this est are soon to open another restaurant think they’ve exceeded in both aspects. still in shock over the bill.
