The Bloody Mary was definitely unique. It didn’t taste like any Bloody I’ve had before, so just know it might not be for everyone.
Overall, really good barbecue and I’d absolutely go back.
At the restaurant I got a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries and Mac & cheese. The Mac and cheese is cooked cavatappi thrown in cheese soup. Mac and cheese shouldn’t drip like water and be served in a pool of sauce. The fries taste exactly like frozen Oneida restaurant style fries with zero seasoning (I added seasoning before I took the photos to both the fries and Mac and cheese). The pulled pork was lukewarm and dry.
I’ll try some other dishes down the road but these were thoroughly underwhelming and some staple items that a bbq restaurant should knock out of the park.
Also, the bartender was eating while serving and not washing his hands.
Please come to the butcher side. We need good spots to stick around in Evergreen!
Edit to reply to owner:
Well I don’t know who you called, but it wasn’t me. No voicemails from you, no calls from you in my call history. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you called someone, but it wasn’t me.
Thank you for the offer, if we come back for dinner or to pick up meat I’ll ask at the counter.
It’s sad that your own employees know how to act more professional than the owner is case and point right there.
To the owner:
Your employee had to ask you to step outside because you don’t know to act in your own business is an extremely pathetic sight to see and still you didn’t care to apologize, continued to be rude and disrespectful, not to mention your grandiose mentality and what gain do you have in that? Actually the opposite because you lost $115 that I had to get refunded for you being a grandiose bully. I would have continued making these bulk purchases, but I most definitely will take my business to an owner who knows how to act professional and control their own emotions, which you significantly lack. Again check your ego and don’t get in a customers personal space. You are a pathetic owner and I’m glad I got to see your true colors, absolutely disgusting.
(And feel free to try to make an excuse about my service dog saying hi to your employees who allowed her to put her paws on the counter to say hi to them. All 4 of your employees too. We were all being friendly and nice until you started disrespecting my service animal and you tried telling me that she’s not a service animal also, after I even showed you her I.D.)
Rude, grandiose, disrespectful owner
Note: in the video I was originally standing by the register and had to step back along with my service dog as the owner invaded our personal space multiple times. And I love how he try’s playing the victim stance too “why don’t you apologize to me, your dog is jumping on my counter” you mean after your employees were okay with it and had been saying hi to her for over 20 minutes?
another case and point.
Update: to the owner “Evan’s” response to being disrespectful towards my dog. The staff allowed me to bring my dog in as I asked before hand and they all said it was okay and the only reason she jumped on the counter is because your employee told her to come say hi telling her to jump on the counter and smacking their hand on the countertop for her to jump on, which I allowed after again your employee was okay with it. The owner “Evan” was rudely disrespectful towards my dog and then beyond disrespectful to me. Which was right after I spent $115 on dog food/bones. So I told “Evan” to show some more respect to my dog, and he decided to do the opposite. I also showed your owner “Evan” my dogs Sevice ID which he responded “I don’t take those fake service dog crap”. “Evan” got in my face and started arguing with me because I told him to show more respect to my dog and also asked for an apology, which again he does the opposite.
So when you reply saying “never to question your dog’s legitimacy or your rights as a handler” I’m confused as that is a complete lie because you did exactly that which is illegal and discriminatory on a federal law not a state law a federal law that the owner “Evan” blatantly violated.
Also again I’m confused when you reply saying: “I’m sorry that the communication in that moment came across as disrespectful — that was not our intent” Really? That’s shocking as the owner got in my face and your employee had to tell the owner “Evan” that if he was going to continue acting that way he would need to step outside. So how was that not your intent? Again another lie.
And then you pretend to act professional now by saying “I would really appreciate the chance to discuss this directly so we can clear the air and ensure you feel comfortable visiting again” that made me laugh because I gave you “Evan” (store owner) the chance to 1st show some respect, 2nd to apologize, and 3rd to check his ego which he did the opposite. Evan is a grandiose owner who needs a reality check
