Hino Oishi is hands down the best Japanese restaurants around! The food is always excellent, and what really stands out is the consistency in quality every single time we visit. Their sushi are absolutely amazing, fresh and full of flavor. If you’re looking for great Japanese food Hino Oishi never disappoints. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to a lot of hibachi, and this place nears the top. The food was so well seasoned. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. The lettuce wraps are also amazing. They do all the typical hibachi tricks, volcano or fire and burning smiley as well as utensil tricks and food launches at peoples’ mouths. Prices were respectable. Even my 3 year old daughter liked the food. If you like hibachi or have a birthday dinner this is a great place to go. Highly recommend it.

We have been here several times at the hibachi grill, most recently for our anniversary dinner on January 17, they always had good food and service. However the last 2 times, there were absolutely no hibachi tricks except throwing rice in your face. The food was sub par and the service was below adequate. First, we had 11 of us sitting around our grill station. The last two visits our portions were completely under adequate. We noticed the division of proportions were so misjudged! Both our meat proportions were insanely ridiculous! I received 6 pieces of chicken and only 5 pieces of filet. Our rice also was under adequate and we both got approximately <1/2 cup vegetables. We all pay the same price but to leave still hungry says a lot especially coming from 95# person writing this. My husband was completely blown away at our portions. Some others sitting around our grill station had completely loaded plates. Let’s say if we would EVER dine here again with this service and proportion size for price, service won’t get a tip! Pay attention folks or don’t chance it, GO ELSEWHERE!

This is easily one of the best hibachi experiences my wife and I have ever had. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable.
We shared the Dinner for Two, which gave us a little bit of everything, and every item was outstanding. The chicken, shrimp, and scallops were perfectly cooked, the lobster was spot-on, and the filet mignon was incredibly tender — truly melt-in-your-mouth. The salad came with a thick, delicious ginger dressing, and the fact that two alcoholic drinks were included was a nice bonus.

Had an excellent experience here with my friend. We ordered sushi and the hibatchi lunch special (that comes with a small roll and soup/salad). Great amount of food for your dollar, and everything tasted great! The wait staff was also amazing, being quick on taking plates and filling drinks. Highly recommend!

We had a great meal at Hino Oishi. They have the hibachi show side, as well as standard dining. We were in a bit of a rush so we sat in the dining room. We got 2 salmon hibachi dinners and 2 filet hibachi dinners. It was quick and delicious. Definitely one of our favorite spots.

Hino Oishi was a great hibachi dinner. This was probably the quickest seating, service and food prep hibachi I have ever been to. The food was good, the service was friendly and efficient. Price point was the same range as other hibachi’s. I definitely recommend this as a great option to go to for a great hibachi dinner.

Sushi at @ hinooishiindy last night. Sorry to say it’s NOT WHAT ITS HYPED UP TO BE! ♀️ The star of our meal was the fried calamari. Well actually it was the sauce that came with it. 3 rolls we ordered were good; Nori Roll, Yummy Roll and the Golden Gate Bridge. However the Seaweed wrap was extremely tough and chewy lol I don’t know how that could be. Everytime you bite into the roll everything comess off of it except the seaweed. You had to tare at it. The dumplings were…. just not good Unseasoned meat inside, chewy outside and nearly cold. Service was Mid. He actually brought over the wrong order not ONCE not TWICE but 3 times smh. On top of all that our Tab was $100+ for 6 rolls and 2 apps. Usually wouldn’t be a problem but it was so not worth it.
Check this place out. Maybe you’ll have a better day than I did. I can say it was clean.
