Family owned Pakistani and Indian restaurant serving fresh grilled meats, open kitchen and friendly service. Highly recommend the lacha paratha and chicken tikka and chicken malai boti. Their Chana chat was also very good. This is a quick stop type restaurant, so have realistic expectations!

Hungry Belly is the kind of spot that makes you want to order “one of everything,” and we didn’t fight the urge very hard.

We started by ordering zinger burgers and mango lassis for the kids. The burgers disappeared quickly, which is the highest compliment kids can give, and the mango lassis were thick, refreshing, and basically dessert pretending to be a drink. For the adults… we may have gone a little overboard. We ordered the karahi chicken (which could easily feed a small army), chapli kabobs, Malai chicken boti, halwa puri, and bun kabob. And honestly? Zero regrets.
The chapli kabobs deserve a standing ovation. Massive, juicy, packed with flavor, and easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the Chicagoland area. The Malai chicken boti was smoky, tender, and cooked perfectly. The bun kabob was fantastic—comfort food at its finest. And the halwa puri? Let’s just say productivity was not happening for the rest of the day.

Everything is made in-house, from the raita to the chutneys and sauces, and you can taste the care in every bite. The owners were incredibly friendly and patiently helped us decode the menu, which was much appreciated. We definitely ordered too much, but that just means leftovers—and an excuse to come back soon. This place is a gem, and we’ll absolutely be back.

Chapli kabob platter and chana chat were really good. Decent bun kabob and zinger sandwich. Overall great service; good option for Pakistani and halal fast food.
I plan to go back and try their weekend breakfast and will update review based on it.

I had the weekend special breakfast: beef paya with three naan, topped with abundant garlic, lemon, and a few tasty condiments. It was fantastic from the first bite—the broth was rich and savory, the garlic notes were bold, and the lemon added a bright, refreshing zing. The beef was tender and meltingly good, and the naan was soft with a nice char on the edges. Portions felt generous, and the toppings really elevated the dish.

Overall, a comforting, hearty start to the weekend. If you’re in the area and craving a flavorful, satisfying breakfast, this is a must-try. I’ll definitely order it again.

Superb place. The owners are a humble husband and wife team, with experience beyond borders. We have been to this place 3x in one week. Prices are excellent but most of all the food is tasty and fresh.

For example, the chef/owners will coat the zinger before frying..all other establishments just use frozen food.

Salam. Tried Hungry Belly for the first time and Alhamdulillah the food was very delicious. Everything they made was fresh and cooked to perfection. Very clean store, staff was very friendly and used gloves when preparing your food. Owner Imran bhai even gave us Chicken tikka boti on the house. Their Lassi glasses were enormous and half the price of what others sell for, Gola Kabab w/ homemade delicious Parathays was out of this world, Gola Kabab just melted in the mouth, Bihari Kabab roll was also good. Over all great experience. Very excited to try their Halwa Puri and Paya Nihari for weekend breakfast InshaAllah. May Allah put Barakah in your business guys.
Thanks
Noman

The food was really good and authentic. All portions were made fresh.
We ordered Chappli burger, chicken boti roll, and vegetarian bund kabob sandwich.

We also had tea which was amazing

It’s a small establishment so will need time to get your order ready. I recommend asking them to hold the ordered items until the entire order is ready.

We went for iftaar yesterday and everything was made to perfection — beautifully balanced spices and very light on the stomach. The owner, Imran, was extremely warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

For iftaar we had dahi barey, chana chaat, pakoras, and sharbat — all fresh and flavorful.
Dinner included chicken karhai, biryani, chapli kebab, and grilled chicken — every dish was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned.

A truly satisfying and enjoyable experience overall.

I ordered the Chapli kabob burger and the Bihari kabob wrap, and both were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care (I know cause I saw it made in front me).

What really made the experience special, though, was the chef. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, took the time to talk with me while preparing the food, and made me feel genuinely welcome. That alone made the visit memorable and the fact that the food was superb just sealed it.

I’m visiting from Michigan and really enjoyed this spot. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in town.

After trying their food three times, I can confidently review this place. It’s really hard to find a restaurant that offers food that is fresh and full of flavor, but this one delivers every time. The chole chaat is my favorite, and the nihari is hands down the most delicious I’ve had so far. The zinger burger is delicious as well. Most importantly, the people are very nice. I’ve visited three times and had a great experience each time, trying different dishes.
