Refuel on the mountain at Roundhouse, Solitude’s Himalayan-inspired cafe. You’re sure to share a table with some locals savoring the curry fries. Dig in, too. This mountain spot is a great place to keep the stoke alive while carbing up with curries, burgers, and vegetarian options. Patio dining perfectly pairs sun and awesome vistas. Really cool lodge to hang out in, warm up, have a beer and or some food. The Upstairs is huge. I ate in all the lodges on this slope and this is the largest one. Tons of seating upstairs with a great almost panoramic view of the slopes and surrounding forest.
I loved sitting at the huge fire pit and drying my gloves, hat, etc. while having a beer.
Pricing is what you’d expect on a ski resort – $6 dollar 5% beers and $7 fries. The food lines at lunch are ridiculously long, so go early, 11am or after 1pm.

The curry up here used to be great, but as of this season they changed it. They started putting peas and carrots in the butter chicken which is not authentic Nepali cuisine. Please bring back the old recipe

The aroma drew us in and the food did not disappoint! There was a line but it moved really quickly and even if it didn’t, the food would be worth a wait. David got the lamb curry (incredible) and I got the vegetarian combo plate, which was a great choice, as you’ll want to try as many of the offerings as possible. The new chickpea salad is robust in flavor, too. Pro tip: order some curry fries to go with your meal

Dang the poutine was legit! The cookies are also huge! Awesome little lodge in the middle of Solitude ski resort. The food and crowd was better than down at the bottom moonbeam lodge. However the hot chocolate at moonbeam lodge was magical. For sure stop here for your lunch while playing on the mountain. Staff was super nice and the prices were reasonable for the quality and taste of food.

We took a ski break and stopped by the Roundhouse on Solitude Mountain for some drinks to refuel. Yes, an iced coffee, chocolate protein shake, and bottle of water cost 18 dollars, but the views from the deck were outstanding!

Uncooked cheese curds SICK!
This place is not a vibe so much I thought of skiing to Brighton for a 2nd lunch.
Avoid the poutine curry and the undercooked burgers.
Also ask yourself why they have a special on the pattys.

What’s a day on the mountain without chili and a brewski. Reasonable prices ($7 beers upstairs), tasty bites and plenty of seating. Bonus points for having Indian food on the menu.

Worst food I ever had. 7 hungry skiers couldn’t finish their food because it was so bad. My butter chicken had exactly 1 cubic cm of chicken for $10.50. Burger was edible for $13. Soup noodles we’re uncooked. Yuk.

The curry was great I was impressed by the taste of the food for being concession food. I’ve skied many resorts and this was one of the better tasting concessions.

The building is really cool and it was nice to have curry on a ski slope. The food quality was okay but nothing special. Not that I was surprised, but the prices were silly. $17.50 for a distinctly average hamburger. $4.75 for a 20 oz soda with no refills. $8.50 for fries. Just one more way Solitude is making skiing inaccessible for the average American.
