No place to sit and eat but it doesn’t matter because the food is that good! I recommend the cheeseburger atw and cheese sticks with ranch. I had never had Hunt Brothers Pizza before and didn’t expect much. But that Pizza is soooo good!

In any establishment there is room for improvement. I hope the owners take this to heart. I left their store empty handed the other day. The parking lot was full and the inside was total chaos. When I came out there was a delivery truck blocking me from leaving. I like their food and Country Store atmosphere, nestled deep in the Hanging Rock area. But here’s what I don’t like. Customer service is severely lacking. I call the front line ladies the Sour-Puss Twins. They both look drained physically , I hope to God they are family. There are two outdated registers lacking itemized receipts nor order #’s; names, etc. 2 registers for 4 operations; grocery, hot bar, call-ins and made to order, all to-go. No seating is available along with no handicapped restroom(assuming this what the owners want to avoid). But I understand that if you’re trying to avoid outstanding loans and profit is key. I would like to see some organization in the checkout process, other than screaming ‘Who’s Next!’ Whether it’s taking a # or a receipt confirmation. Someone with POS could flash names or ticket # on those menu screens. I don’t think you have to reinvent the wheel, just organizing the front lines is all I see. It should also take the heat off the ladies working the registers making them more easier to talk to. I say all this with the upmost respect because I don’t want to see a good thing go to waste. I hope this review makes its way to the proper channel. Good Luck in the future.

Nice stop after a long hike at Hanging Rock, for snacks, lunch, whatever. I got a mushroom/swiss burger, it was juicy and flavorful. Downside is there really is no place to sit and eat, the food is good but would be better if they had a few tables and chairs at least. Interesting selection of products from loose candies, to steaks, cheeses, honey, other jarred goods, sauces, and small collectibles. The locals are friendly, has a “good ol boys” and country vibe to it.

Extremely disappointed today in the attitude of the short lady with brown haired ponytail lady at the register when I questioned what I was charged…(almost 5.00 to much)…young red head girl that originally rang me up wrong gave me a dollar in some change back & it still wasn’t right. I again ask the price of each item I got. Plates are advertised as 10.99 on ALL the ads on Facebook not a one listed anything different and no sign in the store listed anything different but this brown hair woman she said ribs are 12.99 & they always are & “someone”(a he she referred to) must have forgot to add it. I searched each ad on fb for weeks back ..never have rib plates been on there for 12.99 (only beef brisket) so I showed her the ad and she cocked an attitude and said ugh it’s 12.99!! ( And said it very loud & rudely ) I spend on average 50/60 dollars when I go every couple months ( I buy meats & our lunch & now I add stew!!!) NEVER have I been treated like this all the while people staring at us! Just because I questioned what I was charged for I should not be given attitude & embarrassed like I did something wrong! You advertise an entree & 2 sides for 10.99 so that’s what I expected to pay!. 5.00 to her might not be much but on a fixed income for me it is & to be a long standing customer & be talked to in the tone she used was uncalled for. VERY DISAPPOINTED (Kim has always been nice when she runs the register & when I call ahead since I live almost an hour away she would pull & hold my meat order in the fridge till I got there. I have messaged her but no response yet) I love this place & have for YEARS but I won’t give my business to a place that allows people to be down right rude when questioned over a price they did not advertise! It’s wrong!

Bought gallon of chicken/vegetable stew/soup. Food was good but check out was sketchy. Cashier either not very bright or honest. What ever , just be careful.

Great burger and onion rings! If your going to Hanging Rock State Park, be sure and grab a bite to eat here. They also have a good selection of grocery items (for a country store).

Driving back from hiking, stopped by to get the chicken stew that was on the Triad news.
They were sold out of it but you can call ahead and reserve.
So I got the pork chop sandwich which from reviews is highly rated with an old gen breading.
It reminded me of an Iowa pork tenderloin but a little lighter and sweeter breading but was and for under 6.00 well worth it, looking forward to trying more on the menu.
They also carried a local farmers grass fed beef, the hamburger and steaks looked amazing.
10.19: made the trip back and secured chicken stew, vegetable soup, homemade chili, homemade hot sausage and a local farmers hamburger and another pork chop sammie!
Chicken stew: Delish!
Veggie Soup: Amazeballs!
Chili: on the sweeter side which growing up in the midwest with our chili was a bit different but it was really good too!
Snuck in a homemade apple fritter for the wife too .
This place is the !
