I got the skillet #1 and sis got the bun rieu. I’m not a fan of shrimp paste and the aroma,
i never been to Vietnam but if I were to try bun rieu there, I assume this is what I expect it’d taste like …
My skillet
no where in city heights have this, trust- I checked…
Thien huong in Mira Mesa is the only place I know that has this particular dish.
On the menu there is banh mi xiu mai
$8 for sandwich $14 for a bowl with bread.
I got the whole bowl to go after tasting it, since it is also apart of my skillet meats.. I wish I took a picture but it was for my mom, – just know it was super tasty!
I will go back for their banh khot.. and other dishes.
The family is super friendly, I didn’t ask so much questions since today is one of them days where things run smooth in my head but when I speak it’s scattered.. both Vietnamese and English.
The establishment is clean!
The reason for 4 start and not 5 bc they did not have cream cheese, which to me, makes the dish so much tastier! But im going back again for sure 🙂 hopefully they will have it by then
Bò Né skillet, the picture in the menu is VERY misleading. It tasted good but still very misleading.
