Located off Elm Street in downtown Washington, this is our new favorite pizza place. The pizza is a delicious hand tossed crust with tons of fresh toppings. The service was beyond excellent. Part of our pizza got messed up in the pizza oven – no big deal – but they insisted on giving us a free pizza to go! We really appreciated that and it’s the type of customer service that really left an impression on us.

This was possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was amazing and so were the toppings. As good as the pizza was, the customer service was better. They had a slight issue with our pizza (a large Benito’s Special). The crust stuck to the oven a bit leaving about 1/8 of the pizza without crust. They came out, apologized, and then told me that they started another medium sized pizza that they will box up so we can take it home for free. We didn’t ask them to do it and, in my opinion, they could have just taken a few bucks off. But they went above and beyond. They were fast, friendly, and above-and-beyond with their service. I would (and will) return because of the pizza alone, but the service seals the deal. This is a true Washington hospitality joint.

The crust reminded me of a wood fire or coal oven pizza.
I may adjust stars when I try it again but the pizza tasted like pure salt.
You couldn’t get past the saltiness to taste the cheese, crust and meats. I have never experienced a pizza like this.
3 people agreed something was way off and we barely tackled half of it.
Nonetheless I’ll give it another shot and if you don’t like squares like myself, ask for a triangle cut which I’ll do next time around.
Updated to a lower star as another user agreed the pizza was too salty. I’m glad to know someone else experience the same experience.

They hand me my pizza but my app hadn’t even gone in the fryer for a to go order so my pizza sat getting cold in a box on the counter while I stood awkwardly in the way waiting for my food. Tasted fine. Was ice cold. 40 bucks wasted.

Warm and friendly environment, GREAT pizza! Their crust is very thin and crunchy (which is totally fine with me) and you can tell all the ingredients are fresh. Will definitely be coming back!!!

For many in Union, Benito’s was a staple in our diets while growing up! This re-opening in Washington hits the spot for those nostalgic cravings! Decor is fantastic & seating is roomy. Food and staff were great! Plus, you can finish your meal w/ a piece of Cowan’s pie with their mile high meringue. Couldn’t ask for better!
