I went on a Saturday evening, the staff were very welcoming and the place was quite and perfect for me to enjoy a date night with amazing cocktails! The center of universe served for two was our first choice. A fruity flavored cocktail infused with nitrogen and rum prepared by the bartender right in-front of us, had my mind-blown away! Second round went their iconic drink named the golden egg. You can eat this cocktail! I would recommend this drink if you like something strong. Third round was a snap, which tastes very medicinal as it is explained( sort of eucalyptus). Overall extremely happy that I visited this place.
Our waitress was super friendly and took really good care of us. She made sure our table was always clean and we had fresh utensils and napkins. She was just wonderful overall.
Fine food and the pricing accurately reflects that…it should be $$$ or $$$$ though, not two. Drinks are expensive, but delicious and special.
A REAL TREAT….DON’T MISS IT!!
Thank you for making our evening wonderful! Savant is truly a gem and we don’t want it to be a “hidden gem”! We are spreading the word among family, friends, etc.
Our server, Dominique, was the best! She was considerate, helpful, attentive and FUN! The bartender was also great. We loved everything about Savant and the free parking right across the street was a real bonus!
We’ll be back!
Despite not being able to take a seat in the dining room, we were welcomed to the bar. The gentleman that was our server was a new employee. To be 3 days on the job, he was very comfortable and a superb communicator. If he was unsure of something, he got helped instead of making recommendations that would later result in disappointment. I very satisfied at his bartending skills as well. It is often that I order an Old Fashion that doesn’t get mixed well. One would surmise this would be an easy cocktail to prepare, but with everyone having their own spin on this classic mixed drink, I have had more Old Fashions that were repulsive than tasteful. However, I was very satisfied with the Old Fashion I order at Savant. Very balanced in taste. I enjoyed their house bourbon that had a hint of sweetness complimented by a dash of bitters. It made for a good pairing with the Brussels and Party Potatoes, which were quite pleasing. I am thankful the bar was open and we were able to take a seat.
Of note — There was another patron in the restaurant at this time who did not have as good of an experience as I did that night. I completely empathize with her as there have been many times where I had to wait longer than expected for food, had poorly made cocktails as mentioned above, or just experienced overall bad customer service. I was ear hustling as this lady brought her concerns to a server who worked to rectify them. Natasha, the server, was very welcoming to the issues being mentioned. She listened, was none confrontational and offered to comp several items from her bill. This was an excellent attempt to ensure the customer was pleased! Despite coming to the bar very frustrated, Natasha was able to quickly calm things and engage the lady who voiced her concerns in a very lighthearted way, which often resulted in laughter. Whatever Natasha did to diffuse the situation was gracefully executed. The lady walked about with a smile and was a lot more chill than when she initially approached the counter.
Kudos to the staff and management!
