My family and I recently stopped by to check out this new little eatery! It was cute inside with lovely wood tables. I had heard some great reviews about the homemade corned beef hash. So of course I ordered the corned beef hash omelette, grilled English muffin and potato pancakes. The corned beef hash omelette was pretty good but something was a little off with it. I could not quite put my finger on it. The potato pancakes were delicious. I will absolutely order those again. My husband had a short stack of French toast with a side of bacon which he said he enjoyed. The bacon was well cooked and crispy. My son had a chocolate chip pancake and shared the bacon with dad. The service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress so we understood the stress she was under. The have a full bar and serve lunch and dinner I understand. It was a good meal and we will be back.

The village Eatery is in week three of their Sunday Morning buffet. They are doing pretty good, the buffet is a little congested at times and in time will need to me modified to allow proper flow of customers. The selection of good is in line standard buffet choices.

The employees are super friendly.

First visit and won’t be our last. Food was delicious. I used my dine out club card so ordered off that menu. My sister got a burger from their regular menu and she raved about it. The man who waited on us was a sweetheart. They get an A+ in my book.

Gets 2 stars because the food was good. We visited this place Sunday morning for breakfast. The problems started early. Google, Facebook and the restaurant all had different hours. We showed up expecting them to be open, but they were not yet, bad management. Hopefully my edit to Google will at least fix one of their problems. We get inside and there’s one table for a large group. Other large groups had to move tables around which isn’t a big deal, but it seemed like the staff was not really pleased about that. It is a fairly small place. From here it only got worse and I blame all of it on poor management. They apparently only have one pot of coffee because we were told the one pot of coffee continued to be empty or in the hands of another server. Took probably 30 minutes to get coffee, bad management. It is apparently a buffet Sunday mornings, again I say apparently because it’s unclear at the time we went as to what to expect, bad management. We were told that people that were supposed to prep didn’t, so the morning crew had to do a lot of it in the morning, bad management. And because of this the buffet was always empty or lacking normal options, bad management. Our server was very nice and tried to be as appeasing as possible given the circumstances. But it wasn’t exactly hidden that the servers were fighting amongst themselves for resources, bad management. We left not hungry, but not full either because we didn’t want to continue waiting for the slow food prep. 2 kids were hungry and getting upset there was not really much to eat. Went home to feed them. Even though the food was better then the first time we visited the poor management experienced this time will prevent us from going again. I just don’t want to relive this experience. Maybe going on a day other than Sunday will be a better experience, but not willing to risk it.

My grandparents took me here for lunch and I honestly wasn’t expecting much but WOW was I blown away. The food was seasoned and cook immaculately. It looked like there was only a few workers in the building, but all of the tables were full and well taken care of. The Apple crisp was delicioussss and the fries and onion rings were some of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend!

A 4.3 rating isn’t accurate for my experience.
What a great little restaurant with that family feel and homemade cooking! I drove by this place for months not even realizing there was a restaurant in this little plaza across from Shaw’s. Stopped in for the Sunday Brunch and was so surprised at what I got for $15.00!! Omelette station and lots of fresh food! The servers kept replenishing the buffet so everything was fresh. Just as I was picking the last French Toast, the chef came out with a fresh batch and insisted I not take that one, but instead served me the fresh ones instead! It’s obvious that type of caring spreads to the servers as they were all so friendly and attentive! Will definitely go back to try lunch & dinner!

Great home made food.
Although in a strip mall, great old school homey atmosphere, like a decades old home town dinner. Very comfortable.
Service is fine with owner very involved and active in day to day operations.
Lots of senior citizens.
Completely unpretentious. Look elsewhere for trendy, hip or cool.

I am not one that enjoys leaving poor reviews because i honestly believe people and businesses do their best. I am unfortunately compelled to do it now based on our experience. My 2 young children, my wife, and I came here because it had a great reputation and good food, and we had been once before without any issues. We ordered our food and got our drinks right away which was fantastic. After almost an hour we still had not received our food and during that time a different waitress asked if we had ordered or had eaten yet. A couple that came in after us complained that their food was taking too long as well and i overheard the waitress tell them “youre next it’s them first and then you for our ticket line.” Them of course being my family and I. After over an hour the waitress brought food to the complaining couple (which i thought was odd based on the conversation she had,) but i figured our order was bigger so it may have just been easier for the kitchen. Now over an hour the waitress sits down with us and tells us that our order had not even been started yet and the original waitress we had misplaced the ticket. I told her that this was obviously an albatross but if they were starting the food now we’d wait. She went back and checked and then came back saying she had no idea when it would be started. We abruptly left with 2 young children crying because they wanted pancakes and waited over an hour for 2 waitresses to tell us that one lost our ticket and the other had no idea what to do now. In summary i am not suggesting this is the norm for this place, but i will say that after we were neglected, made to wait, jumped in the queue, and then told that they didn’t know what to do or when we would be helped we wasted our time and at almost 1130 breakfast was now lunch. This is piss poor service at its finest and i will never be coming back to this place.

Best kept secret in Merrimack, NH!! Sitting on the side of the DW, in an unsuspecting location this little restaurant offers up some wonderful home cooked meals. Went to the Sunday, brunch buffet and enjoyed a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. The freshly made omelette at the omelette station was delicious and the freshly baked raspberry turnover was to die for!! They only put out reasonable amounts on the buffet tables and keep them replenished so what you get is always fresh and hasn’t become soft, rubbery or mushy. Reasonable prices and fast friendly service. How did I miss this? Wish I knew about it sooner!!
