I was in the area and decided to stop in at the Soup Bar—and wow, what a find! The building gives off a cozy small-town vibes. I ordered the grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup, and it was absolute perfection. The soup came out piping hot and bursting with flavor, perfectly complementing the crispy, golden grilled cheese. You can tell everything is made with care. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-try. Comfort food done right!

Went here with my family and was met by a very friendly staff behind the counter churning out the soup. We decided to try all of them.
Favorites were the mushroom and the crab soup. All of them were hot and fresh; you could tell they put a lot of heart into the soups.
Definitely give it a try

I’ve been meaning to try out this place for a while now, due to logistics haven’t been able to swing by- that is until today.
They have a big selection of soups!
Tried the Crab Bisque, if you’ve have and enjoyed new england style lobster bisque- you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the creaminess delight, generous lumps of quality crabmeat. Each spoonful I had did not disappoint!
The have a pretty good lunch menu, will definitely come back to try the sandwiches!
Definitely recommend and will be returning!

This a small town eatery with delicious food. You can eat in or take out. I enjoyed eating in today and conversing with Amanda as she made my grilled cheese crab cake sandwich which was absolutely amazing. The soups are all so good and my dad had crab bisque which he loved and he added the bread was delicious along with the soup. My hubby isn’t a crab or soup guy but he loved the beef sliders well done for his liking but not dry. Brandon was very helpful and friendly. Don’t miss out on this delicious food. We will be back

Had roasted tomato soup. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t delicious either. The real problem is, though, it is overpriced. Doesn’t deserve $10. (They should update the menu here, btw, a bowl of soup is $10 (except crab bisque, which is $13) and crab cakes are $15 each.) However, the place was clean and the staff was nice.
P.S. It was closed at 2:45 pm on a Thursday. They should change their hours too.

What can I say about this little hidden gem in Palmyra other than GO!! As soon as I walked in, the aroma of fresh ingredient permeated the air. The soups are just incredible. Home made tasting and delectable, as was the crab cake Mac and cheese. I enjoyed every bite. The owners are charming and so welcoming to everyone that walked in the door. It’s an old school family place that serves up some delicious food.

My wife and I have been here a few times now and it’s always an experience. We love it. The food is fantastic. We always get a soup flight and every one has been very flavorful. I’ve been to some fancy restaurants and this soup is up there with the best of them. We also got a patty melt earlier today, and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Bread was fresh and warm. We were both full and satisfied for like $30. The staff are kind and attentive.
I’ve also gotten takeout soups from here. They freeze really well, and since they can be heavy (not a criticism!), I’ll sometimes dilute them and a quart can stretch pretty far. Really nice to have a couple of these in the house if I don’t feel like cooking.
As a heads up, the physical space is very small and the furniture is basic. Drinks are limited to cans of a couple kinds of soda. This is not a fancy dining experience. But it is good, local, and one-of-a-kind. Highly recommended.

On this bitterly cold day, we set out sights on warmth. We ended up at The Soup Bar. Charming little spot in good ole Palmyra! We tried regular grilled cheese, crab grilled cheese and soup flights of tomato bisque, crab bisque, and clam chowder..man, it felt like I was in my granny’s kitchen. This place provided all the goods needed on a blustery day. We will definitely return again.
