Absolutely delicious! The service is excellent, very attentive wait staff. Just tried it for the 1st time yesterday and it was so good I went back again today. I’ve had the steak tataki, tuna tataki and the tiger rolls. All of it was amazing and I’m looking forward to trying more. I’m going to be eating there often!

So glad I stopped by when passing through! The food was delicious, authentic. Atmosphere was clean and pleasant and the service was great. The spice level was perfect if you’re like me and like a good kick to your sushi. I had the sashimi deluxe, my husband had the burning man (spicy tuna with hot sauce) and Jeff Davis (had cream cheese and crawfish). 5/5, would definitely stop by when I’m in town next time.

I had just completed an errand in Long Beach and decided to stop at Sakura for lunch. I had heard people rave about, so I was looking forward to trying it!
Normally for lunch, I like to try a place’s Bento Box. The presentation was good, and I loved that this one included some shumai, which was a nice treat.
The chicken teriyaki itself was just okay. It was swimming in the teriyaki sauce, so I took the top layer off because I really wanted to taste the chicken. It was just okay, a little on the bland side.
The fried rice was disappointing as it was literally just rice, no seasoning, and honestly it didn’t taste as if it had been fried at all.
While the Bento Box itself was disappointing, the atmosphere was wonderful. I loved the diverse people this restaurant attracts, older couples, students, families, I truly loved that!
And I must compliment the staff! I loved the service and how very kind they treat you! My server checked on me several times and was very attentive!
I always like to try a place multiple times, and I was told on my return trip to go for some of their rolls, that they are known for their rolls. So I’m looking forward to that, as they had an incredible variety of sushi and rolls!
I truly do wish them the continued best!

Impeccable. Casual and unpretentious in their ambience but delicate and artistic in culinary presentation. Every bite was fresh perfection. I was especially impressed with the fish to ratio in the maki rolls. The kind and attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure your experience is absolutely lovely. My family and I were just passing through and we love Japanese Steakhouses. So we tried this place out and were very pleasantly surprised! The portions were very large, the food was absolutely amazing! And our waitress was very kind!

Very fresh, impeccable service! Ask for Juiani, very knowledgeable, highly recommended. Our “go-to” local now. A wide variety of sushi selections, we will have to come back often to try them all. The chicken egg rolls were delectable and very reasonably priced. Overall, it was a great dining experience and option!

We have wanted to try this place for a while now. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. We had coconut shrimp and stuffed jalapeños for apps, and the gorilla and black dragon rolls for main and we both took boxes.
