I ordered the double patty bacon smash with the fries. I’ll give it a solid 4.5, not a 5 only because the Bacon wasn’t cooked all the way, and the fries with a little too salty. But the patties were seasoned well, and cooked just under medium, the way I like my burgers. And the bun held up well, which is a major plus. I will definitely be back, just have to let them know to make the Bacon crispy.

The food was so good!!! Makes me wanna slap somebody’s momma just not mines. We ordered a double w/o bacon and a single with bacon (beef) and fries. My apologies about the photos but that’s all that was left. Make sure you check them out!

I’ve driven past this food truck so many times I wouldn’t be able to count. It wasn’t until it came across my feed on Instagram that I started paying attention. Just driving by, you wouldn’t know that it was an actual food truck housed right next to a fire truck station. Today, I decided to give it a try. I guess advertisements really do work because seeing it on Instagram was the final deciding factor.
I have to say, I was thoroughly satisfied with my visit. I decided to get the double patty smashed burger with bacon. It was absolutely delicious and was made to perfection! They put it on a nice soft potato-like bun. They also added a special sauce and provolone cheese, I believe. I also got their crinkle cut fries and their butter cookie milkshake since I’m always up for trying quality shakes.
Everything was really good and the shake was excellent. It had cookie crumbles in the shake and the temperature was nice and cold but also smooth and thick at the same time. The thick straw allowed me to drink it without a struggle.
There were at least three bench tables with umbrella tops situated in the grass not too far from the truck just in case you wanted to chow down right then and there. I decided to eat in my car because it was raining and I didn’t want to wait all the way till I got home.
I’ll definitely be back in the future. I highly recommend you check them out, too!! Let me know what you think when you try them out.

I’d heard good things about this place and I’ve been wanting to go for a while, but one day when I was nearby, they were closed, the next time I had a chance, it was one of the coldest days of the year. I almost decided not to go, asking myself; “Is it going to be worth standing in the 28° weather waiting for my burger?” It was. The burger was everything I hoped it would be. If you find a better burger around here, eat it, because I havent found one. As far as I’m concerned, Akhs takes the crown. I got a double patty with beef bacon, but a single would probably have filled me up, it’s a good size for a smash burger. I got cajun seasoned fries with it, they were decent, and I’m not the biggest fan of crinkle fries. I wish I’d gotten extra Akh sauce with them, but I didn’t. I’ll get it next time, because I’ll definitely be back. I’ve heard the milkshakes are good too, but it was too cold for that the day I went, so I’ll have to wait to find out

Burger had great flavor, would love more fries for the price. The container is pretty small. Pretty pricey for amount of food. But the fry on the fries was great and seasoned well.

I’ve come here at least 5 times now in the past couple months and had to show my support by leaving a review. I stopped by after finding this food truck listed as one of the best smash burgers in the DMV and I’d have to agree. This is the best one I’ve had so far. The burgers are very fresh and juicy with the perfect amount of toppings. The Cajun fries with akh sauce are also great. The passion fruit mojito is absolutely amazing. Finally the customer service is wonderful, after my second visit the employees recognized me and asked about my experience. It’s clear that they care deeply about creating an exceptional all-around experience. Make sure to check their hours on Instagram before you go, occasionally they have modified hours for other events.
