This was such a great experience for a former
El Pasoan turned Montanan. I had been craving red enchiladas & one of the more popular El Paso staples just missed the mark so hard. This place came through & was solid on all fronts. The red salsa they bring out w/ tostadas was SO flavorful-something the flavor reminded me of Casa Jurado’s red salsa they used to serve IYKYK.
They served me a little cup of tortilla soup before the enchilada plate came out & that had a great flavor as well. The red enchiladas were tasty, not too hot & hit the spot. Will definitely be revisiting this hidden gem on my future returns to El Paso.

Restaurants like this one make me miss El Paso terribly. Been living in San Antonio nearly two decades now and you just can’t find tortilla soup like this there. Was sent to El Paso for work for a month and our offices are right down the street from this little gem. The prices are great can’t beat them. The food is phenomenal almost cried when I had the sopa de tortilla. The service? Spectacular! I called ahead of time because I was worried since I only get 45 minutes. They told me not to worry they would get me right away. The moment I walked in they knew I was the tortilla soup girl ! Even their limonada was perfection. Can’t recommend this place enough.

My colleague ordered the alambre tacos and said they were probably the best street tacos ever! I ordered the Plato Mexicano, and the relleno and enchilada were especially tasty! The tortilla soup was very good, we well as both the red and green salsas served with chips, and the cucumber lemonade was amazing!

Saturday morning, quite. Quick service. Cute outdoor dining area. Ordered the caldo de res. Pretty good, I like cilantro but it was a bit too much. I’d try something different on the menu next time. I would eat here again

My review is honest. I come here multiple times with my mom. The food is good and the server has always been kind. My review is based on customer satisfaction, I ordered a tea for my mom, after receiving my drink I asked to confirm that the tea was decaf. Lady brought the bag to my table and I noticed it was black tea, I asked to exchange my drink, so she did. Got my bill and was charged for the tea $3.50 and the replacement of my drink for $3.50.
It’s not the money, it’s the fact that she stated owner would be upset if she didn’t charge me for both drinks. I get it, business is business but come on.. keep you customers happy. I spent my money here multiple times.
We all work hard for our money and if we visit a local restaurant we expect good service. That’s just me. Yes I’m full blooded Mexican and not trying to be a Karen. I love supporting local but.. for that reason I won’t be back.
