Needed a quick pickup site for a party over the weekend and went with Geppetto’s as they were the closest with sheet pizzas. It was my first time ordering from this location.
When I walked in, I waited a good 20 seconds or more while the cashier was texting or browsing her phone before she even acknowledged I was standing at the counter in front of her.
The cheese sheet pizza was pretty good taste wise, but the pepperoni was well overbaked, dry, and the guests at the house didn’t much care for it. Neither pizza was cut through and we needed to re-cut both of them while serving the food. The pepperoni had one slice of pepperoni per pizza slice and the toppings felt lacking.
We didn’t have a very good experience and neither did many of the guests that were all also local.

Instead of employing drivers, they outsource delivery to gig-drivers that do other tasks between picking up your food and delivering it to customers.
Food took over an hour to deliver, was cold, found two hairs in it, and the order was inaccurate.

This place has been consistent as long I can remember, one of the best Hawaiian pizza I ever had ( I never get it anywhere else because I know nobody can even come close to it) the ribs are tender melt in your mouth service is hit or miss but that’s cuz they are real people working and sometimes they might have a bad day

Believe it or not, this small Barbecue pizza is $16.00. It has one topping. I guess not all Geppettos locations charge the same, ‘cause this same pizza is listed as $10 at other locations.
Unfortunately, the price isn’t justified. The barbecue sauce is thin and has an unusual flavor (think allspice or cinnamon). The meat (used to be rib meat) may have been replaced with chicken. It was so dry & tasteless that I’m not certain.
It has been a long time since I’d been to Geppettos. It’ll be a longer time before I ever return.

TL;DR: Josh says this is the premier carry out restaurant in Northeast Ohio. Great food prepared by even better people, and a local business you can feel good about patronizing. Tell them Josh sent you, they WILL know who you’re talking about!
If you’ve got the time and desire to read more, I’m about to preach. This is the only review on my Google account. I only have a Google account because my phone necessitates it. This is the one place I can think of that’s worth my time and effort to promote.
I’ve been ordering carry out from Middleburg Heights Geppettos for about 20 years. When I lived in Middleburg, they were a bi-weekly indulgence. I don’t live in range to get it quite as often these days but I drive by on the way home from work, so if the timing is right, I give them a shout.
Whether it’s been a week or six months, when I call I’m greeted with joy from a team that’s had a genuinely shocking lack of turnover over the years. In a business segment that churns through employees like butter, the staff retention combined with the truly pleasant interactions every time tells me that this is a good place to work.
It also means consistency. One of the reasons that national chains succeed over local joints is because you can typically trust that if you got something you liked, it will be the same the next time. But because of the staff longevity on offer here, you get the quality of a local restaurant with the consistency of a chain. I know exactly what my half slab rib meal is going to taste like, every time.
I have dined all over Northeast Ohio, with an eye towards places like this, pizza, wings, ribs. Geppetto’s is the king of NEO, and the Middleburg Heights location is one you can feel especially good about patronizing.
