My birthday fell on a Thursday August 28th and my wife and I both elected to eat the steak special for that day selecting the $35 Rib Eye steak special for the occasion. This was our first visit around 5 pm and the restaurant was well lit with a lite crowd of diners seated at about half of the 20-24 four seat tables. There was not an abundance of color in the basically white theme or plant life to enhance the decor. A picture of a dog with a cocktail adorned the wall we noticed. The host and waiter were very cordial as were other workers. The bar served drinks and took a little longer for orders than they said was usual. I had a beer priced at only $4 and my wife had a French 75, her first, at $14. The menu was limited in our opinion and surprise, but sometimes this is good. We both selected the Caesar salad instead of house salad and agreed it could have used extra seasoning. The steaks were cut about 6 by 3.5 inches and 3/4″ thick with some gristle and large areas of fat suggesting either a Prime or Standard cut instead of Choice. However the aging seemed good to provide a tender flavorful taste as a result. The sides provided were a mixed vegetable and wedge potatoes cooked to tender bites. We enjoyed the meal and would consider this a slightly upscale restaurant for dining even though the patrons dressed in mixed attire with many in shorts and casual dress. The evening would likely be a different atmosphere with candle lit dining and better dressed patrons to set the mood. The owner also has a Galveston location we plan on sampling.

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for a date night after hearing great things and made a reservation looking forward to a nice evening out. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes just to receive water and be greeted by our server. We then waited another 20 minutes for our first round of drinks from the bar. While our server asked if it was our first time visiting, we only saw her again when she was delivering food or beverages.
We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer, which took about 20 minutes to arrive and was barely warm when it reached the table. Our entrées came roughly 45 minutes later. We ordered wine to enjoy with dinner, but it didn’t arrive until we were already finished eating.
As for the food itself, it was underwhelming. The coconut-crusted red snapper was just okay, the sides were not seasoned, the scallops were rubbery, and the pasta was only lukewarm. Overall, the dishes lacked the quality and attention to detail we expected.
Our server stopped by once more to ask about dessert and was very quick to bring the check — which was the only thing that came out promptly all evening. I also made eye contact with the manager multiple times during dinner, but no one came by to check on our table or see how things were going.
With a bill that was nearly $200, we expected a much higher level of service and food quality. Overall, it was a very poor experience, especially considering the positive reputation this restaurant seems to have. We were really hoping for a great date night but left disappointed.

I’ll definitely give this place another try since they’ve only been open for a month and are still working out the kinks.
That said, the French toast felt overpriced for what you get. The fruit on top was mushy, and while the eggs Benedict tasted fine, the yolk had a strange appearance. On the other hand, most of the other menu items seemed more reasonably priced.
The highlight was the Irish coffee—it was delicious, made with Fluff (marshmallow cream), Baileys, and Jameson. Also want to give the staff a shout out, they were super attentive and extremely friendly!

Had a lovely lunch at Coopers Landing . The restaurant is beautiful with an upscale feel. Our waitress, Cielo, greeted us promptly, kept our sparkling water refilled, and was very helpful with menu suggestions. She recommended sharing a large salad, which worked out perfectly. Our food came out quickly and hot. I had the salmon and it was cooked just right—everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Cielo was friendly, attentive, and made our experience great. Ask for her if you visit!

We loved the food and the atmosphere. We sat at the bar and Angel took excellent care of us. We hand chicken fried chicken which was amazing with perfectly seasoned.
We will be back. I suggest you try it out.

I love the Cooper’s in Galveston so I was excited to try this one. They didn’t disappoint!
Across the board, it was great. Service was fantastic and apologetic for the wait time (for food) even though it really wasn’t that slow at all. It’s a relaxing atmosphere and was enjoyable to just sit and drink. Speaking of drinks, their French 75 is delightful. Better than a lot of others and that’s my drink; I get it all over.
Their gumbo and spinach salad made for a perfectly sized dinner and both were full of flavour. I’ll be back for sure!

Tried Cooper’s Landing, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The food was okay at best, but the service was awkward from the start—slow, disjointed, and lacking basic attentiveness.
We noticed several flies around, which didn’t help the atmosphere. I ordered fish and chips and requested some basic condiments. After a long wait, the server finally brought them out and mentioned he had to “hunt for it.” What we received tasted off—possibly spoiled or reheated multiple times. It left a bad impression.
Between the questionable condiments and sluggish service, this visit missed the mark. There’s potential here, but serious improvements are needed in both execution and cleanliness.

Great meal and great service. Cielo was our server and she was great. Very personable and excellent suggestions. We had the lobster bisque which was delicious to start with then the baked stuffed shrimp which was perfect followed by a delicious chocolate cake. The old fashioned was well made. I highly recommend you go and ask for Cielo. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped by Cooper’s Landing the other evening, and let me tell you, it was a real gem. The place has that welcoming vibe that makes you want to settle in. Our server, Caden, was the star of the show cool, sharp, and totally tuned in to what I was craving. He read me like an open book and guided me straight to the best picks: a perfectly grilled steak that was juicy and full of flavor, alongside some crab cakes that hit the spot just right. Tasted like pure gold! The service was world-class, efficient and friendly, and the whole experience was amazing. If you’re looking for a spot that’ll impress, mosey on over to Cooper’s you won’t regret it!

My friend and I visited Cooper’s Landing in Friendswood today. We haven’t was seen each other in years. Ally was our server and she was so very nice. My friend and I chose to sit on the patio since it was such a nice day. We had such a lovely lunch we both had the fish and chips at Ally’s recommendation. She was right it is the best we have had.
I can’t wait to go back again when I am in town again.
