SUPERB, EXACTLY RIGHT

We have been meaning to try this new restaurant for a while. The host is an older gentleman who looks like he stepped right off the streets of Italy. He is friendly and welcoming.

This isn’t a place you can or would want to rush through a meal in a New York minute.

All the food was made on the spot. They have non pasta meals and on the appetizer there were gluten free choices (didn’t say so, but by illusted ingredients). We had Octopus, which took at least 10 minutes to come out and was a work of art that was delicious. It had 3-4 small potatoes as part of it, but if you’re low or no carb these could be skipped. It was perfectly made and beautifully displayed/served.
We had fish for the main meal, which again, took about 20 minutes to prepare. Vegis on the side were cooked but crisp. Not mushy or underdone.
Waitstaff were friendly, fast, and attentive without being intrusive.
Desserts were a masterpiece. Sweet, but not overwhelming sweet. You could taste every flavor, from the strawberries on the cheesecake, to the cheesecake itself and graham cracker crust. The Tirimasu was the real thing, made like you can read about but rarely get with the soaked ladyfingers…
They had music, load enough where we could hold a conversation without raising our voices yet other conversation was drowned out.
I can’t say enough about this place. Its an experience.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly but elegant without being stuffy. Lighting was a hair dim for me but overall was cozy, I could see my food and added to the ambiance.
I highly recommend that you set aside at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours to throughly enjoy this place. You won’t regret it.

I ordered a mushrooms peas soup and a tartar and my husband ordered Cesar salad and gnocchi bolognese as real italian men
Oh my Gosh !!! Everything was delicious
The service better impossible and the and the ambience was relaxing and beautiful music

We came here for our anniversary after passing it on the street the day before. Pierro was welcoming and kind, helping us get sorted immediately with a smile. The food was incredible. Grilled Octopus, Mushroom Arancini, Squid Ink Pasta, and the Ricotta Gnocci were EXCELLENTLY cooked and wonderfully flavorful.
Carlos, our server, was truly a part of the experience. His ability to anticipate needs we didnt realise we had was exceptional.
All in all, a 10/10 experience. We will be coming back.

I went for the steak with grilled romaine lettuce but when I got there it only comes with mashed potatoes now. I really had my taste buds set on grilled romaine so had to give it a 4 for that. Everything else was really great. Everyone finished all their food and we got deserts. The panna cotta was so good I could have got a second one. We got the tiramisu as well and my kid that gets it every time ranked it top 3 they have had. Really I don’t think you can go wrong with this and to be so close to Times Square it wasn’t loud and was very nice, cozy, and inviting. I would recommend it over the other Italian in the area as it was elevated but not pretentious.

An afternoon in the Times Square area walking around trying to decide for a place to have early dinner. We didn’t want to be within the crazy buzz of Broadway, so steps away we happened to find Eccolo. We’re so glad we did! The staff was very welcoming. They have outside dining but we choose to sit inside. When you sit down they present a wonderful focaccia bread with salted butter. OMG it was delicious! For appetizer I had the Arancini Truffle Mushrooms served with an aioli dipping sauce. I loved it, we shared this and ate every drop. For my main I ordered Spaghetti Con Gamberi loved loved! I’m a big shrimp lover. This was a generous portion with enough shrimp to satisfy me. Even though we were stuffed we made room to share the homemade Tiramisu and yes savored every drop. I would absolutely come back when in NYC. Perfect before a show! Found out they just opened this summer 2025. So I’m sure this will be a popular local go-to. I recommend!

The best dinner I had during mother-daughter trip to NYC!! We decided to give this place a shot after reading great reviews, and it didnt disappoint 🙂 One of the best Vongole linguini I’ve ever had (my mom said it reminded her of the clam noodles grandma used to make when she was young), and gnocchi (not presented in pic) also had excellent texture – soft yet chewy. Service was also excellent. Their menu recommendations were great and they were very attentive through our dinner. We would definitely revisit when we are back in the city 🙂

Unbelievable dining experience! I had the Gnocchi, and wife had chicken stuffed with ham. Both were unbelievably good. Best I’ve EVER had! This is a new place that has o my been open for a month. It’s truly a gem.

Eccolo is amazing! The service is top notch and the wine list is one of the best around.
Renata was so welcoming and made great recommendations. The rotating charcuterie board was so much fun and the meatballs were out of this world. Cozy vibe, great food, and incredible hospitality — can’t wait to come back!
