We had the pleasure of visiting Effie’s Buttercup Restaurant twice over the weekend, and both visits were wonderful! The food was delicious, the service was quick, and everyone we met was so kind. It’s a charming little spot, perfect for breakfast, and conveniently located just around the corner from where we were staying. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly, tasty start to their day!

Came for lunch. Ordered at a table. Although it took a sec to get the server, all went smoothly. We had plain bagels, a sandwich and also a bagel with scrambled egg.

Food arrived promptly and the order was accurate. While not spectacular, the food was good and I appreciate the good attitude of the staff, especially those at the counter where I asked for a cup of water and was quickly helped.

Great bagel! May not be AS good as NY but fit the need for a jersey shore bagel! It was also boiled which I was happy about as some of the other reviews made them seem like they might just be baked. Oreo cream cheese was yummy too. I will say I wish it could have been toasted a little more but I feel no bagel shops ever toast the right amount.

Great service here . There breakfast sandwiches are really good .
Bagels are a nice size and flavorful.
Coffee is good as well.

Place gets crowded fast so I think it’s best to arrive early. Otherwise take out is a good option .

Just went with my family of 4 we have two little girls 3 & 1 years old both really enjoyed the pancakes! The omelettes were delicious this was honestly the best breakfast we’ve ever had. The servers were super sweet and so kind and patient with our girls even brought them crayons and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything for ourselves and them! Definitely stop in here you won’t regret it

Just had Effie’s buttercup cafe for the first time and I have to say this has by far been the best breakfast experience I’ve ever had. I have traveled all over the world and indulged in some of the top proclaimed breakfast spots, but nothing comes close to Effie’s Cafe in Wildwood Crest. The staff was extremely friendly, organized and efficient. Food came out within 15 min and was superb. I didn’t want the meal to end! I hope Effie’s continues to thrive and I will be placing this cafe on the top of my list for anyone seeking breakfast recommendations in Wildwood!

This was a Bagel Time Cafe which was great for all types of bagels and unique cream cheese spreads. Went in today for the first time this season and was disappointed that if you want a bagel, it’s only plain and regular cream cheese. It’s more of a general breakfast/lunch location. The lunch menu is much bigger, and there is expanded seating, although the air conditioning was not on with it being 90 outside. If you are looking for a variety of bagels you can see and know are fresh, this isn’t the place to go. No longer is there fresh squeezed orange juice or the option for specialty bagel sandwiches like lox and cream cheese. Most tables around us were ordering bagel sandwiches, and they were all the same plain, no flare, no variety. Maybe I will try lunch in the future, but it’s not the same go to breakfast place anymore.

A very friendly place that seems like family run. We mostly had omelettes here. One item the south tropical fruit bowl ( I am sure I got that name wrong) is a yogurt parfait built into a pineapple. It is amazing.

Lovely little place; we sat outside with a great view of the ocean during breakfast. Food was delicious – I had the turkey sausage omelet. Staff was very friendly too.
