I can honestly say that I would never run out of nice things to say about Mars Farmhouse Cafe. I always enjoy giving them a shoutout and give credit where credit is due because this small town restaurant deserves much more recognition!

I often make it a point to check out their amazing specials every week but their core menu offers a lot of great items and never disappoints. I also use them frequently for work events, office parties or just when I need a catered lunch in a pinch! This past week they were able to throw together a delicious and thoughtful yet simple lunch that left my customers asking for their contact info so they can look into using them for their upcoming events! I tell everyone I know that this place is a must try spot and the staff are incredibly kind / accommodating which you don’t find too often. In addition to their great hospitality, they’re very well priced for quality food with a very thought out menu of variety. Above all, you can tell that this team genuinely enjoys what they do and are proud of their food (which they 100% should be.)

Thank you to this team as always, you’ll always be my number 1 call for food!!

I ordered carryout and was pleasantly surprised. High quality food at a good price. The Martian (sliced ribeye) was excellent. Tender and good flavor with the onions peppers etc. The ciabatta bun was also very good – not just a rewarmed store bought meal holder like so many other places. Highly recommend.

We stopped in here the other day as we were in the neighborhood and have been wanting to countless times before. The food was made to order and great! Smash burger for me, berry salad for her! Her salad was so big, she couldn’t finish it and I couldn’t come close to finishing the fries. Service was warm and iniviting!

We hired Mars Farmhouse Cafe for our daughter’s bridal shower. They were very easy to work with and always answered questions in a timely manner. The food was absolutely delicious and Cassie was super helpful with serving and cleanup. Many guests asked who did the food and everyone was very pleased and well fed! Thank you for being a part of our special day. You are now our favorite caterer!

We chose Mars Farmhouse Café to cater our wedding reception, and it was the perfect choice for such a wonderful occasion. After eloping to Maine for the wedding, we had a casual reception at our home, and Mars Farmhouse Café exceeded all expectations.

From the beginning, they were super helpful, responding in a timely fashion to all our questions and requests. The food was outstanding and quickly became the talk of the evening. Everyone raved about how delicious everything was!

The team’s professionalism and the quality of their food made our reception truly special. We highly recommend Mars Farmhouse Café and are already looking for another reason to hire them again! Thank you for making our celebration unforgettable.

This was our first visit we stopped in for a lunch break we were able dine in not realizing they were close to close time. They were still super inviting and kind and didn’t make us feel rushed. The food was wonderful we had the Berry salad, pulled pork Mac, and chicken bacon ranch wrap. Will definitely be in again!

My first-time experience with this cafe was interesting. I went in totally blind, having just seen that they were on the vendor list for the Mars car show while I was trying to figure out what I was going to do for lunch. It seems to be a fairly new, family owned-and-run cafe still looking to get their “foot in the door”. I ordered the brisket gouda melt (pictures attached), and, while I was waiting, two of the owner’s very young children had just finished eating and were running around the dining area loudly playing with each other. They weren’t being too disruptive, but it was a touch awkward and unprofessional, since the dining area was fairly small. They did, however, leave right as my order was ready, so I suppose I just came at a bad time. That, combined with the fact that the only seating was two tablecloth-covered fold-out tables with those blue plastic school chairs sorta turned me off of eating in the cafe. I would personally have liked to see a few nicer tables/chairs (potentially one or two outdoors!) and maybe some low music in the background so that guests wouldn’t have to eat in awkward silence. Anyways, the first thing I noticed in regards to my food was that the potato chips that came with the sandwich seemed to be homemade, which was a nice touch! The sandwich was very good, however, it was also a touch too greasy and seemed very unhealthy. It sorta gave me the vibe of a sandwich at a really good diner. This, however, may have been due to the specific sandwich I chose, and there were likely healthier options. All in all, I would definitely recommend and can certainly see myself going back if I’m in the mood for a really good sandwich in Mars! Since this is already a super long review (I thought I’d leave a long one since this is such a new place that I think could be made excellent with some small improvements), I should also note that this cafe is in the same small plaza as one of my favorite breakfast places in the area: Jimmy’s Strip district grille. I would compare the two as follows: go to the farmhouse cafe if you’re looking for a good, quick, (potentially takeout) lunch sandwich, and go to Jimmy’s if you’re looking for a sit down breakfast (with potentially some healthier options).

Our catering order was perfection. The poor delivery drivers arrived during a horrible downpour. They were more worried about our floors than themselves. The food was outstanding for a great price. And Trudy helped us keep the food flowing with a smile. She was AMAZING! Thanks for making our Kentucky Derby party a painless, tasty, and fun event.
