Being in Stuttgart, after a long time I craved for Indian food and hence tried my luck on Chutney place located near Stuttgart Central station. However, my experience was really bad. I ordered for chicken platter kind of thing which included chicken gravy , rice and Salad and took 2 pieces of naan. Their naan was pathetic but just some thick lump of chewable bread which doesn’t go down the throat. Also the attitude of serving men present at the Chutney counter was poor and pathetic!!The rice which was included in our combo was denied; when asked for bill they denied.
The restaurant people have no decency to serve their clients. There are much much better options on the same floor which we tried later and were very satisfied and happy with the food and services of other restaurants in that food court.
If you have self-respect and want value for money, then would absolutely NOT recommend this horrible place-CHUTNEY!!
This place has both veg and nonveg curries. Here’s what we tried:
1. Chicken makhana (butter chicken)
2. Madras chicken curry
3. Chicken curry
4. Chilli chicken (spicy and does not go well with the cumin rice)
5. Palak paneer
Loved everything we have ordered so far. Don’t forget to tell them whether you need a small or large portion, because the large one is a lllooottt, can be shared by two.
Also tell them no curd and chillies if you don’t want them.
Price for two – €19
Let’s get one thing straight: Chutney is not an Indian restaurant. It’s a costume party pretending to be one and a bad one at that.
The rice? Undercooked, flavorless, and has nothing to do with Indian cuisine. The “curries”? Creamy sludge with no spice, no soul, and no relation to anything remotely Indian. Everything tastes the same bland, sweet, and lazy.
This place is a scam, designed to fool people who’ve never tasted real Indian food. There’s no depth, no regional influence, no respect for ingredients just a watered down mess passed off as exotic. It’s insulting, honestly.
If you’ve ever had a proper Indian meal even once you’ll know this is a joke. A bad one.
Avoid Chutney unless you’re into overpriced cream soup with food coloring.
My wife picked up this combo yesterday with chickpeas, rice, pomegranate and salad. She asked for extra spicy and these guys really make it spicy.
The food is packed with flavor. It’s spicy but it is what we look for in Indian food and this is really a big compliment. I tried the food and loved it. My wife devoured the food and absolutely loved it.
Super place and the prices are reasonable. Very good quantity for the price.
