A must have experience on this stretch of road. Yes it is in the mini mart. Everything was delicious, tender and plentiful. Upset there was no more ribs or pulled pork by 2pm when we came but tried the brisket, sausage and turkey. Seating is small and truck stop feeling.
Is come back next time i come here.

We stopped by here on our way to a camping trip. It’s located just behind a gas station, so it was a little tricky to find.

It was my first time trying Texas-style BBQ, and it was absolutely delicious! My whole family loved it. The kids especially enjoyed the pork burger with its sweet seasoning, while the adults thought the beef burger with sauce was outstanding. The pickles on the side were also fantastic!

We even came back the next day to get takeout and enjoyed it at home. Just a quick warm-up made it taste just as amazing.

The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Honestly, if this place were closer to home, I’d want to come every week!

My husband and I shared the 1/2 pound Brisket and 1/2 poind Ribs. The servings were more than enough and had some to go. The Brisket and Ribs were juicy and cooked perfect! The two young gentlemen were very kind and provided awesome service.

Stopped on the way back from Dodge ridge ski resort to get gas and water. We saw the BBQ place inside the mini mart and wanted to give it a try. We didn’t expect much but it turned out to be one of the best beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches we’ve ever had! We wanted to try turkey and sausage next time (they were out) if we pass Jamestown again.

Stopped by here on the way to Colombia and definitely do not regret that decision.

The food was great and the portions are sizable as well. Highlight though was the Beans with Brisket!

It’s located within a convenience store at a gas station, but this doesn’t at all take away from the experience (seating is good as well)
If anything, it adds to it by giving you unlimited access to snacks and other goodies you may enjoy with your meal or for dessert

Fantastic family-owned BBQ spot! The brisket was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. Portions were generous, and the overall experience was top-notch. Highly recommend!

Stopped in with a couple buddies on the way back from a backpacking/fishing trip and, boy, did we make the right call! Killer bbq and generous portions. Some really nice dude came to our table (unfortunately I forget his name but he seemed like the owner) to ask us how we liked our food and if he could get us anything else, etc. Genuine hospitality. We’ll be back for sure. Right off 49 so it’s not hard to get to. Very highly recommended!

Wow. This was a huge disappointment, and I could not believe that the ribs tasted like fish. Absolutely, horrible, 3 different people, same response. It smelled and tasted like fish. I don’t know how or why, but they must have had the ribs in the freezer next to the fish, but how hideous. The amount of food for thirty-two dollars plus tax was a very small portion as well. The brisket was mid, part tasted like a roast part tasted like a real brisket. The sausage was actually pretty good. Just lacked seasoning. We were really disappointed because we’re from oakdale and used to have them in town, and they just absolutely gone downhill. Also, the barbecue sauce tasted exactly like Campbell’s tomato soup mixed with spices. The barbecue sauce was not barbecue sauce. I’m super disappointed and will never be back or recommended. The best thing on the whole platter was the side of pickles.

A spontaneous stop on our honeymoon trip around California, but easily the best! We shared a Texas Trinity so we could try a bit of a selection and all of the food was better than any barbecue we had previously eaten. Ribs were amazingly smoky and perfectly cooked, sausage had a good snap and lovely flavour, but the brisket was the highlight, so much that we ordered an extra half pound so we could have some more! Would definitely recommend making the trip here to try all of their lovely food, the staff were super friendly and helped us choose our order and we couldn’t be happier!

BBQ in a gas station? Yes, please!

Do yourself a favor and stop here. We enjoyed the turkey breast and brisket sandwiches. Both sides, coleslaw and pinto beans, were delicious accompaniments.

It was also fun to talk to the owner and pitmaster, Rob. Real Texas BBQ from a real Texas gentleman.

The best bite, though, was the dessert — a burnt end! Courtesy of Rob’s son.

You guys made our day!
