If you’re a fan of Indian food (or you’re ready to become one), put Namaste Indian Grill on your list. I ate here tonight and everything was genuinely delicious.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and asked for it spicy. It delivered ~ bold flavor, a nice kick, and a rich, creamy tomato sauce that tasted fresh and well balanced. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked and made the ideal base for soaking up every last bit of sauce.

And I have to say it: the garlic naan might be the best I’ve ever had. The garlic wasn’t just sprinkled on top, it felt like it was tucked into the folds of the bread, so every bite had that buttery, garlicky goodness. I kept dipping it into the tikka masala until the bowl was basically spotless.

I also had hot chai, and it was outstanding. So good I ordered a second cup.

What I ordered:

• Chicken Tikka Masala ($19.99) ~ Boneless chicken cooked with onion, green peppers, tomato sauce, and cream
• Plain Basmati Rice ($5.99)
• Garlic Naan ($5.99) ~ Topped with garlic and cilantro

Good to know: This restaurant is tucked in the back of the grocery store. When you walk in, you’ll see a comfortable seating area up front with booths and tables. It’s a great setup for a lunch meeting, a casual dinner, or a quick bite before heading home. I don’t think many people realize there’s a restaurant inside the grocery store, so consider this your friendly heads up.

Buffet options (from their in store sign):

• Lunch Buffet: $14.99 (Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
• Time: 11:00 am to 2:30 pm
• All Day Buffet: $16.99 (Weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Friday & Saturday: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
• Sunday: 11:00 am to 8:30 pm

I’ll definitely be back, and I’d love to see more people discover this spot. If you’re near West Henrietta Road and you’re craving something flavorful and comforting, go check out Namaste Indian Grill.

This place has some of the best Indian food I’ve found in the area. First time we came here, the food was so good that we ended up back three more times in two weeks. Almost everything we’ve ordered from here has been amazing & super flavorful. We always order pickup & the staff are wonderful. Highly recommend this place!!

Namaste is severely underrated. Their all you can eat buffet should be packed at all hours per day. You can’t beat a daily $14.99 lunch buffet. I’ve been here five times and it’s my go to buffet. At the beginning you get unlimited naan or roti. On weekend + Friday you can get mango juice. My favorite things are the fried food in the corner. It’s never the same but that is why it’s great!

Update-

Have visited this place now multiple times over the past 2 years. Their curries now changed a bit & are tasty. Samosa Chat is delicious. Great customer service. They even started a nice buffet and is worth the price! I recommend this place

Had ordered take out, Butter chicken (Chicken makhani) and Paneer tikka masala. They tasted absolutely the same. Seemed they were made in the same curry (sauce). I was a bit disappointed due to it. But the curry was nice. Service was quick. Overall nice, 3.5

The food was very delicious and fresh. The restaurant owner was very kind and thoughtful. We were fasting so we came here for Iftar to eat and we were offered dates without even asking them. They served us with dates because Muslim people open their fast with a date so we were very surprised. The food is halal I really appreciate them. They also have a really great price!

This place is a gem!! The only spot I’ve been able to find good dosa in Rochester so far. We came for the grocery but will be coming back (with friends) for more of this.

Pictured is the mysore masala dosa and the pani puri (which was great too). Looking forward to checking out the chat specialties and uttapam next time.

Really good food. The chat is especially amazing, south Indian food is good too. The chole was mediocre. I was visiting the area so when I reached there I was a little confused since the restaurant / food court type of area is at the back of the store.

BEWARE. Every time I ate at that establishment, I kept getting sick. I couldn’t determine whether it was due to my allergies or another reason. Then, an employee informed me that they use expired ingredients in their meals. They store their food (like curry and other sauces) in the freezer for extended periods until sold. They even erase the expiration dates from grocery items and replace them with new ones. I’ve heard they use products that are three years past their expiration date in their dishes and also sell them in the grocery store. Additionally, there are numerous cleanliness issues within the kitchen. So, be sure you understand what you’re getting into.
