Clean dining area. Large portions of food. Very nice waitstaff. Definitely will be back. Only one thing I wish they had was a small bowl of gravy for my chicken livers. Pictures of the food just doesn’t do justice. I was like ‘holy wow! That’s a lot of food!’ I had chicken livers with fries & red beans and rice. Fried green tomatoes too!

We went to the 23rd Street location and the food was on point. Two of us had shrimp and fish and it was cooked perfectly. The catfish was definitely phenomenal. Hubby had Philly cheese steak that he loved, and another had shrimp. For the price we got our money’s worth, no complaints from any of us and it was nice and clean. I do wonder if some of the reviews I’ve seen are getting locations mixed up. We will definitely be going back to this location.

A true hidden gem!!!! My wife and I met for lunch one day last week, we usually like to eat in place’s we’ve never eaten before. The service was amazing, very friendly, very professional. We’d ordered an appetizer and lunch. When I tasted the food, I thought I was eating something heavenly, Far greater then my other favorite places. They have fried foods, which is what I ate, and a baked dish for the wife. From Hush Puppies, to Tilapia, Fried Chicken, my wife and I are going to bring the whole family. Prices are competitive, many great menu choices. I just can’t say enough about this establishment. We also left a kind word to the manager, as it’s truly amazing. A definite, MUST try.

I ate here for lunch on Sunday with my wife and son and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the portions were bigger than we ordered, which was a nice touch. The owners even came by to personally check on us to make sure we were having a good experience. We will definitely be coming back frequently.

Actually it was very good. The service was fast and the server just great. Food was plentiful and prepared very nice. Really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is comfortable and we felt quite good there. They do not serve alcohol which does not matter to us as we do not drink.

I usually like ur food, but on this day, I ordered livers and gizzards. To my surprise, they were crispy and burnt. The waitress saw the disheveled look on my face and said “they come that way”. This is the 3rd time the party I have been with has had issues with the food or staff.

Saw this place a decided to take a risk at a new place. What a great discovery. I purchased the fish and shrimp. It was terrific. It was fresh and HOT. I had the choice between grilled or fried. I chose fried. It was very reasonable. And staff was super nice and cool. This place diamond in the rough. Great food. Great price. This place is actually a franchise. So dont fear. And it kinda looks closed due to the dark windows. But, i suggest you go in and be suprised. I am loving it right now. Definately a hidden treasure. Dont miss it.

On a weekend, as I noticed this new establishment, me and my wife deiced to give it a try. My wife ordered one of their famous platters, which became her favor dish and I ordered the fish taco and shrimp taco. I am a huge fan of fish and shrimp tacos. let me tell you this, Sam’s southern eatery did truley impress me. Their fish and shrimp are not suprisingly overwhelmed with spices. In fact they are just the right mix, a well-balanced mix, and the shrimp just melts right on your mouth. I usually love adding a hint of lemon on the taco, because it gives that citrusy kick but with those I didn’t have too because I really enjoyed the flavors. The taste brings me back to my virgin islands trip where I had the most amazing tacos.
